We have 5 cats here

Leo - black and white boy cat. We got Leo as he was local and was living with a family with a young toddler and another bairn on the way. He was 6 months old when we got him.

Elsa (Silkiestar Mikada) - tabby Siberian female cat. We got Elsa because Lucy was dying and we didn't want Leo to be on his own. Elsa came from a home with a small child and they didn't get on

Duchess (used to be called Daisy) - mainly white but tortoiseshell markings female cat, now toothless bar one as her teeth were so bad.
Poppy (used to be called Jess) - ginger and white female cat, used to be very grumpy but much more chilled out now, such a poppet hence the name
Fidget (used to be called Suzy) - tortoiseshell female cat, little thug and very aptly named, into everything and constantly on the go, we think she's Duchess' daughter

Duchess, Poppy and Fidget were going to be put down so we said that we would have them.

We have kittens

The kittens were born this morning :) Luckily mum cat had them in her outdoor hutch so it was easy to close the door and move them all inside to our kitchen.
She's had 1 ginger one and 2 grey ones so it looks like the dad could be her boyfriend, the ginger male cat.

No photos as yet. We're letting her get used to being a mum and being used to having to stay indoors.
She'll be getting neutered when the kittens are old enough and then she can decide whether she's in or out.
She's a local stray cat that we've taken it upon ourselves to look after

Unfortunately, we are down to 4 cats now. Duchess was pts yesterday lunchtime. She had a lump on her jaw and was unable to open her mouth properly. Given her age, it was kinder to let her go.

Only going to post links as photos are large sized

Mum is a stray cat that decided 3 meals a day was a good enough reason to hang around and live in the outdoor shelter we made for her and her boyfriend.
She doesn't have an owner, she's totally stray, our neighbour knows her history.
Once the kittens are old enough, she's going to be done so she can't have any more kittens and then she will have the choice of staying indoors or going back outside.

I've just read this post again and it sounds like I can't count but what I haven't mentioned is that in March 2014, another cat made his way into our home.
Buttons is a black and white, boy cat. He was less than 6 months old when he was dumped on us by a woman who said he was thrown out of a car and had been living with them for a few weeks but she was pregnant and couldn't keep him. We were going to have him neutered and then re-home him but he grew on us so he stayed.
He should have been called Trouble or something different as he can be a little swine at times.

In July 2014, a few weeks after we moved house, we had to have Poppy pts. She had had fits for 2 nights running and at her age, in her 20s, it was kinder to let her go.

Sad day :( the last of the kittens went to their new home this evening.

Ginger went on saturday morning. Fuzz and Mschif are staying together and they went this evening.
Hedge cat (mum) is at the vets in the morning for a spay operation before going back outside, she's really not an indoor cat but has tolerated us and being indoors whilst the kittens were here.

Now down to 4 indoor cats, hedge in the kitchen/heading outdoor and hopefully ginger snr will turn back up again once his wife (hedge) is back out

When the ex and I split up in Aug 2018, we agreed to split the cats equally so he took Elsa, Fidget and M whilst I kept Leo, Buttons and Oliver.

Unfortunately he was found deceased a few days ago so Gary and I went over to the North East, on thursday, and picked up Elsa, Fidget and M and brought them home to be with us. They seem to be happy in themselves. I don't know if they all remember each other or the house but all seems ok at the moment, a few growls here and there but that's to be expected
