As a surprise for my wife I am trying to trace her former horse just to establish if her mare is still alive. My wife often talks about Magiska and I would love to be able to tell her that Madge is doing well. As a bit of background information my wife's parents (surname Woolford) owned Magiska from 1991 to about 1995 when Magiska (Madge/Gizzy) sadly had to be sold. It is not an exaggeration to say that my wife was utterly devoted to Madge and it was the end of an era when she was sold to The Conquest Centre/Fortune Centre Riding School for the Disabled at Norton Fitzwarren in 1995. Magiska is a chestnut Arab mare. Foaled in 1981 and sired by Sky Flight (Sky Crusader) and Fairy Magic (Indian Magic/Farette). Her freeze mark number is 79N8. Madge was about 14.3hh with one white sock (near hind) and blaze. Her Arab Horse Society certificate number is 2538/198. I attach a photo of Madge and my wife (probably during Pony Club days) which may be useful. If anyone has any news, good or bad, I would be grateful to know
