History wanted on Cally - 15hh Black Mare - Freezemark - R85C
Cally - R85C. 1994 (19 years)
I am looking to find any history on my horse Cally a black cob type mare 15hh.
D.O.B - 1994 (un-sure of exact date). She is completly black with only a white star and has no other distinctive markings/scars ect (other than freezmark), in the summer she turns very slighly bay on her belly/shoulder area. I think she may possibly have some Friesian in her but not entirely sure. She is very dosile on the ground but is very forward going to ride and can be fizzy. I bought her 9 years ago but do not have any contact details for the family I bought her from. She only has a passport from when the law came into force so it does not have any past info on owners/breeders etc. So from this her name could of been changed at some stage. I do however know that when she was 3 she had a foal. Does anyone remember Cally ? I would to know any history about her.

Bought from which part of the UK ?
Have you spoke to Farmkey ?
They should be able to tell you where in the UK she was freezemarked, what age she was and maybe her name at that time. I don't know if they will still have owner details for when she got done but it's definitely worth asking them

Thanks for that , I am from north Devon but she was bought from west Devon. I have contacted farm key and they were able to tell me she was freeze marked in 2001 in north Hampton they don't have a name registered for her at that time. They are also not able to tell in the contact details for the previous owner at that times as its confidential but at a small cost they can send a letter to the owner they have registerd on your behalf. So that will be my next step. Thanks
