i have a 21 year old ex polo pony, and when you stand facing her she has a number 1 on her front left leg and a number 9 on her front right.
she is argentinian bred i believe.
Any info on this would be much appreciated

I've been told the brands on argentinian ponies usually denote the year of birth and the foal number, so I'm guessing she was the ninth foal born to that breeder in 1991. I have four argie ponies (three ex polo) and all the brands are different but usually involve two numbers somewhere. Hope that helps!

and would you have to read it from right to left to get year? (instead of reading left to right)
