Murphy (Smokey Joe), 14.2hh, grey gelding

Looking for Murphy (Smokey Joe) 14.2hh grey gelding, last known area South Yorks around 1998

I'd love to find out what happened to my old boy Murphy, here's his info:

Murphy (Show name Smokey Joe)

14.2hh Grey Gelding (He used to have lots of dapples but got quite light by the time he left me - Mum said we bathed him too much  )

He was an Anglo Arab that we bought from Peter Bainbridge near Carlisle and we had him for around 4 years we think (we're based near Appleby).

He left me around 1999 (give or take a year or so, it was a while ago!) and we think he was around 15 so there's a good possibility he's no longer around

He went to a dealer called Jackie Bird in South Yorkshire (Sheffield area) to be sold, he'd apparently failed the vet due to ring bone and his melanomas and he ended up going to someone that was going to do hacking with him, either free or for very little money.

I remember the day that I agreed to sell him, I was absolutely heart broken and it would be lovely to hear where he went (good or bad) or even if he's still around

The dealer as far as I know moved to Scotland somewhere a few years after (however she may not have done!) but I have no contact details for her, I'm sure he had a freeze mark on his shoulder but couldn't be 100%

Any photos ?

Get in touch with Farmkey and see if they have yours/your mums details down associated with any freezemarks. Long shot but worth a try maybe.
