Tackroom Gossip (TG) is BACK !!
If you need somewhere to advertise your business, online shop, animals for sale, referral links to websites, it's here. You can post here for free, no charge. Times are hard enough for all of us and if me offering this to you can help you, yippee!
If you need somewhere to vent and let off steam about anything horsey, or non-horsey, please feel free to and know that even if we can't actually help, we will try to understand and be there virtually for you.
It's important to Keep Talking, to anyone, just keep that communication going.
This "cost of living crisis" is getting to all of us, the media are constantly going on about prices rising, bills rising, jobs lost etc. It's all doom and gloom.
Spot a good deal somewhere ? Please share it with us.
Found a yummy recipe online that doesn't cost the earth to make ? We'll try it.
Any problems logging in, please reply to this email and I'll get you sorted out.
Thank you

Salty (Saltie, Salt And Vinegar)
Height: 15.2hh
Colour: Chestnut
Sex: Gelding
Description:
I am looking for a horse I owned 2 years ago. He was a chestnut gelding, 15.2hh, racing name was Salt and Vinegar and was called Salty / Saltie for short. The top photo is Salty in Summer and the bottom one is him in winter. 100% ground manners but sometimes chewed the fence. Also had Arthritis in his back legs and was on Bute. His Freeze Mark is EY98 and he was 17 years old in April. He was ridden and went with tack, but should only really be ridden in walk and trot as bucked in canter sometimes which I felt was him unhappy / in pain.
He was given free to a lady near the Basingstoke area as a companion for her young horse. When I phoned the next day to see how he settled in, she said the young horse did not get on with Salty so she gave him away to a friend down the road. I asked for the new owners phone number and she said she would phone me back with details (also I said I would have took him back and was very upset). I phoned again and again and she no longer picked up the phone to me.
He hated being in a stable and got stressed so would box walk and lose weight. I tried to always keep him out in winter, good to keep him walking as he had operation in his back legs which is said about in his passport. I am just worried he is not getting looked after right.
Any Information would be great good / bad

Is Salty number 6 and 7 on this link - http://www.tracingequines.co.uk/gallery ... p?album=62 ?
If yes, I can sort photos out for you.
Have you contacted Farmkey recently to ask if they have any new information on Salty ?
It was 2005 when Salty was given away. Just to put a date on it so Salty would be about 23 approx now.

Hi Ellieteddy1 welcome to the forum
Thank you for coming forward to bump up Salty (Vinnie's) advert. Please can you email me some photos of Vinnie and I will get them added for you.
Can you remember who or what part of the UK Vinnie was sold to ? What part of the UK are you were you in when you owned him ?
