Horses and riders attacked by dog at Camber

The owner of a dog that attacked horses and riders on the beach at Camber on New Year's Eve is being sought by police.
On Saturday morning (December 31), around 10.30am, a number of horses were being exercised on the beach when a black-and-white English bull terrier chased and jumped up at two of the animals. It then focused its attention on two other horses, jumping up and trying to bite both horses and riders.
A grey horse was bitten on its right shoulder, resulting in a wound that required hospital treatment.
Police would like to speak to the owner who is described as white, dark-haired, wearing a red coat, yellow scarf, blue jeans and wellingtons. It is thought that he was accompanied by a woman.
Anyone with information about the incident or those involved is asked to report it on the non emergency number 101 quoting serial 426 of 31/12/2016.

Overnight 28/29 January, stables on a farm in Jeremy's Lane, Bolney, Haywards Heath, were broken into and the tack room was forced open. Four saddles were stolen which have a combined value of approximately £18,000. All four were jumping saddles. Saddle 1 was a CWD make in dark brown leather, saddle 2 and 3 are both made by Devoucoux, are dark leather and both have yellow leather behind where the riders’ legs go, one of them has “DREA” embroidered on it and the name “BAMS” on a brass plate at the back of the seat, the other has “AMAZING GRACE” embroidered on it. The fourth saddle was also a Devoucoux jumping saddle in dark leather but in all dark leather with no yellow on it, this saddle is almost new. All the saddles had stirrups and irons fitted. A riding helmet was also stolen. We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anyone acting suspiciously. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may be offered such items for sale.
