Entry was forced through a window and once inside a safe with several hundred pounds was stolen. They exited through the same window before making off on foot towards possibly Frog Lane, so no vehicle seen.

Alert from West Midlands Police:

Theft of metal 3-phase cable (copper) still occurring in the Solihull area. Also theft of diesel and kerosene on the increase, recent thefts occurring in Elvers Green Lane in Knowle, Bradnocks Marsh and cable theft Barston Lane, Barston.
Containers, bolt cutters and adapted pole climbing boots were dumped in a lane in Knowle, which have been seized and submitted for FSI as they may be linked to one of the thefts.

Overnight on 31st March intruders forced a side entrance to a farm on Solihull Road, Hampton In Arden and searched the barns. An excellent perimeter alarm of very loud geese may have seen them off as nothing was stolen.

Overnight on 1st April persons stole 600 ltrs of domestic heating fuel from a tank located in the front garden of a farm in Wootton Green Farm, Balsall Common.

Overnight on 6th April persons entered the land to the rear of a farm in Tanners Lane, Berkswell and cut through metal perimeter fencing in several places. Nothing stolen. However those persons gained entry into neighbouring rear garden and entered two sheds stealing a grey/black Stihl Chainsaw - £450, a grey/black Stihl hedge cutter - £450, and two racing bicycles. Good heavy padlocks on the sheds remained intact as the metals hasps were levered and broken off. In the never-ending task of beating the villain.... shed alarms, better active light security and improved herbaceous borders recommended.
