Farm Watcher UK

STOLEN QUAD

Location - Sturminster Marshall, Dorset.
Overnight on Monday 1st into Tuesday 2nd September a theft occurred from a open barn at a farm on the A350 in Sturminster Marshall, Dorset. A red Honda quad bike was stolen along with electric fencing and battery unit.

The safer neighbourhood team (SNT) would like to remind all residents to ensure all gardening equipment big and small are locked away and secure when not in use.

Farm Watcher UK - 10 Sept 2014

STOLEN TRACTORS

Location - Wimborne, Dorset

A large commercial tractor was stolen from an open field in Corfe Mullen between 9pm Sunday 7th September - 830am Monday 8th September. Two padlocked gates were forced open to access the tractor and remove it.

Between 4pm Friday 5th September - 11am Saturday 6th September a Orange Kubota tractor and a Ifor Williams trailer were stolen from a property in Ham Lane, Wimborne. The bottom of the rear door was smashed and bent up to gain entry.

Please make sure all steps are taken to secure and protect any farm machinery, and report any suspicious person or vehicle immediatly.

THEFT OF GALVANISED GATES

Location - Oborne, Sherborne, Dorset DT9
Several galvanised farm gates have been stolen from a farm near Oborne, Dorset. The gates were stolen from an animal enclosure and surrounding fields. The total cost of these gates amounts to £700
This theft occurred sometime between the evening of Wednesday the 25th of March and the following morning. Thieves would have required a large vehicle or a trailer to transport these gates.
If you saw farm gates being transported over the evening of 25th March or the following morning, please contact Dorset Police on non-emergency telephone number 101 and quote crime number 12938.

STOLEN 4X4 ALLOYS

Location - Crossways, Dorchester, Dorset DT2
We have had a report of the theft of alloy wheels from a 4X4 vehicle that was parked and unattended in the Mount Skippet Way area of Crossways on Friday night.
The offenders have removed all of the wheels including the spare, and left the vehicle propped up on bricks.

STOLEN CROP SPRAYING CHEMICALS

Location - Dorset
Thieves looking for specific crop spraying chemicals are targeting farms in Dorset.
There have been two thefts from storage sheds in Tincleton and Puddletown in the last 3 days of chemicals worth thousands of pounds.
Farmers are being urged to step up security.
Inspector Steve Marsh from Dorset Police said: "Offences have been committed overnight with vehicles sometimes crossing fields to avoid being seen, anything suspicious should be reported to the police immediately."

Stolen Saddles
Area = Dorset

Overnight between the Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th August 2015, three horse saddles (suitable for large horses), have been stolen from a locked outbuilding in the Barnsley area of Dorset.

Did you see anything suspicious at that time or have you been offered the saddles for sale?

Tack Stolen From Disabled Riding School
Area = Dorset

Over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd January 2016 there has been a break-in to a riding school for the disabled at Holton Lee, Holton Heath, Wareham, Dorset.

Offenders have stolen specialist harnesses, tack and saddles that had been recently delivered. The charity are obviously distressed as this means they are currently unable to help the sixty plus people a week that come to them.

Did you see anything suspicious in the are at that time or have you been offered any of these items for sale?
