Mickey, 15.2hh, bay gelding

Post by mickey_1984 »

This is a really long shot as so much time has passed by.

I sold Mickey in the spring/ early summer of 1996 to a lady called Gina (?). She initially kept him in Wheatley, Oxfordshire at a yard based on the site of Wheatley Farm Shop (London Road, Wheatley, Oxfordshire, OX33 1YW). The last time I saw Mickey was at Horspath show in 1996 not long after I had sold him. His mane had been hogged.

Mickey would be 30 years old by now, born in 1984. He stood about 15.2hh and was a lovely solid type (armchair ride).

He had a distinctive half walled eye (half blue/ half brown nearside eye), a blaze, a mane that could not be controlled and would stick up all over the place (probably why his new owners hogged him), and white markings to all 4 legs. He also had patches of white hair which would be hidden under his saddle. Mickey needed to live out all year due to a dust allergy.

If anybody does recognise Mickey I would be really grateful if you could get in touch.
