Theft of Battery used on electric fencing- Pinhill Farms, Stockwood
Between 1930hrs 8th April &1730hrs 9th April, the theft of a battery used electric fencing where horses are kept in the field occurred.
OIS Ref: 665-S-090415

Trailer and tractor located in Donnington area of Telford.
Reported to police on 10.04.15 at 16.30hrs.
Trailer and tractor found on landowner’s property. Trailer is an Ifor Williams Double Axle, serial number on trailer chassis EC27559.
Tractor is a Kubuta B7100, 4 wheel drive, orange in colour.
Items believed to be stolen and have been recovered by police - incident number 445-S-100415 refers.

Burglary non-dwelling - land at the Telford Equestrian Centre, TF2 7QG
Between 19:00hrs 10.04.15 and 11:00hrs 11.04.15 - Solar security lighting attached to shed was removed and stolen - A hasp securing shed door unscrewed to gain access to shed, nothing stolen from within. A witness saw two males with two dogs walking near the edge of this field on the evening of the 09.04.15, no other details known.

Suspicious activity reported 13.30hrs 10.04.15 Green Lane area of Wythall.
Theft of electric fencing and where horses are kept –fencing was pulled down and cut into pieces. There were no horses not in the field at the time. Chairs were also stolen from outside the stable yard.

Attempt Burglary - stable door forced at Madeley Rd, Belbroughton,
Stourbridge. Nothing was stolen from within. Offence between 1930 10th April & 0800 11th April.

Sometime during the night of 11th April – the security cameras at an equestrian stable were tampered with. Entry was gained to the stables, nothing stolen or damaged.

1630hrs 11th April a report was received that a horse in the field had been injured. It is thought a male seen nearby had thrown bricks at the horse. Further enquires and passing attention to be paid at the location.

Horse Watch Alert

Burglary other than dwelling at what's known as St Michael's Field, Lower Leys, Cropthorne, Evesham.

Between 1700hrs on 01/04/2015 and 0949hrs on 02/04/2015. The location of the offence is a field of the IP's which is situated in a rural location. Between the stated times, at some point over night, the IP has reported that property has been stolen and damaged on this field. An insecure shed has been entered and a fencing unit that was UV marked has been stolen along with a driving harness, a television and solar panels. Damage has been caused to a shed and the wires here slackened where person/s unknown have climbed over it in order to gain entry to the field. A silver horsebox Daf Lorry has also been broken into but it is unknown what property, if any, has been taken from within. Person/s unknown have made good their escape in an unknown direction.

Reported 27-APR-2015 19:03hrs:
The owner of a horse discovered a plait and knot in its mane and a piece of electrical tape has been tied around a fencepost. Location is Cherry Orchard, near to the electricity pylons, off Scots lane near to Weather/Seedgreen lane, Astley Burf, Stourport on Severn.

A male was seen near the area with hay net, it is not known whom this male is.

Rural Watch & Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 28 April 2015

Nordan, Leominster
Criminal damage to the property has taken place between 00:00 on Saturday 18th April 2015 and 19:00 on Monday 20th April 2015 at the farm in Nordan, Leominster. Between the stated times person/s unknown have walked onto the site and have placed a piece of metal inside on of the IP's wood chippers. The wood chipper has since been used as no one was aware of the metal inside of the machine and this has caused extensive damage to the blades of the chipped. Incident number 0171s240415.

Alert from West Mercia Police - Bucknell
Between the 2nd and 3rd of May, persons unknown have attended a farm situated in the Bucknell area and have gained access into an outbuilding on the farmyard. Once inside the outbuilding offenders have stolen a green coloured Kawasaki quad bike. Registration: DX54 VBE, three Husqvarna chainsaws and a welding mask.

Horse Watch Alert (Shrewsbury)

Horse Watch Alert (Alvechurch)

Criminal Damage - Stables on School Lane, Alvechurch

Between 18:30hrs 3rd May & 11:10hrs 4th May, person/s unknown have been into the stables and smashed everything up and have been throwing things at the ponies in the paddock. The offender/s have left a glass with beer in and cans where they have been drinking.

Horse Watch Alert

Suspicious Circumstances-Kingswood Equestrian Centre
County Lane, Albrighton, Wolverhampton, WV73AQ

Reported at approximately 1500hrs 10th May, two males were seen acting suspiciously at the Kingswood Equestrian Centre. Staff observed two males running off the centre and fence hopping over fields – Male: Described as 6ft tall, wearing a blue hoodie. Male 2: Slightly taller, wearing a red hoodie with white writing.

The previous day to this incident, a vehicle (Maroon P REG Audi saloon car) was spotted on the lorry car park. Security approached and advised the occupants not to park at this location, it was noticed there were torches in the rear seat. Vehicle and occupants left the scene quickly. It is unconfirmed the occupants were the same two males as the previous incident. Also noticed was a red Mercedes van for some time with a male and female on board, part registration BD61.

Horse Watch Alert (Evesham)

Criminal Damage - Brewers Lane, Badsey.

Over the last few months several incidents have occurred in a field where horses are kept. Between 00:01hrs 1/4 & 2359 15/5 person(s) unknown have entered the field with the horses in and have damaged two head collars by forcing them off the horses. Water tanks have been drained and filled with mud & stones have been thrown at the horses and spooked them. No injuries to the horses although they have been wound up more than once which suggests someone has been messing with them.

Theft of animal feed in Pendock - Incident 371-S-050615 refers. 2 men seen entering into a field and load up bags of animal feed from an open building. Both described as early 30's, one with dark hair, slim build wearing jeans and a light shift. Driving an old VW caddy pick up towards the Staunton area.

Theft of 2 trailers taken from a field in Eldersfield area between 19.00 on 06.06.15 and 09.00 on 07.06.15. Locks had been cut from the gates. 16ft flatbed trailer, steele, 2 tonne weight limit, Hazelwood make, double axle and white box van roller shutter rear. 5ft wide and 6ft long, towing so no VRM. Burglary-Farm Premises LONGDON, TEWKESBURY
Received: 16th June sometime between 2330hrs last night and 0200hrs an attempt was made to gain entry to a barn. The lock was broken to gain access. It has not been confirmed if any items stolen.

A very important message for every one for the coming summer months, please do NOT swim in Gullet Quarry, Castlemorton Common. People have died swimming here, especially young individuals who believe they are strong swimmers. There are underwater streams of freezing cold water which stop the body from functioning, meaning that it basically shuts down.
Please do not swim here, no matter how tempting it looks - thank you.

Fire on common ground areas.
Please report any fires you see on common ground areas. If you can see people sitting around a fire on a Common please report this, the ground dries out very quickly and life stock are roaming on the common. As we are all aware, fire spreads at an enormous rate and safety of people, their homes and life stock in these areas are of the utmost importance .

Horse Watch Alert

Theft-Newport(Shropshire)

Four wheel horse cart was stolen overnight 17th June in Newport area.

It was parked in a field but chain was damaged to gain access. Driving harness also taken from nearby shed, again lock damaged to allow entry. Cart is green in colour, seats at front and back facing forward, no serial numbers available.

Set of Cob size harness with collar and set of leather harness - Zilco in black, full size.

Horse/Rural Watch Alert

Theft –Horse yard/stables, KERSLOW LANE, SHENSTONE

Sometime during the last two weeks an attempt to gain access into a hay barn was made by forcing the lock which failed leaving marks on the lock. Two generators, one a Honda, were stolen from a further out building at the premises. Also stolen Stihl Petrol Chainsaw, Orange/White in colour.

RW & HW Rural Watch & Horse Watch Bulletin - 29 June 2015

Alert from West Mercia Police: Burglary - Tack room at Findern, Beckford, Tewkesbury, GL20 7AP

Between 2200hrs 23/6/15 and 0600hrs 24/6/15 gates have been opened and left open from the front entrance off the A46 and offender/s have gone through another 4 gates leaving them all open. The padlock has been cut into the tack room but nothing stolen. All the gates into the fields have been left open with 14 horses in the fields. OIS REF: 0091-S-240615

B4176 Ackleton to Shipley, Rudge Heath, Bridgnorth
Between 1000hrs-1930hrs on 30th June 2015
Offenders(s) unknown made entry into the victim’s field and broken into 2 caravans on site as well as a stable. One horse in the field/stable. Untidy searches made and horse tack items have been stolen from within.

Offenham, Evesham
Between 05.30 and 20.00hrs on 04.07.15 in Offenham, Evesham, damage has been caused to chicken coops. Some chickens were killed, others locked in the coop in the heat. Horse’s water butts were also tipped out in the field.

Burglary dwelling - Reported at 09.30hrs on 04.07.15 in Pulverbatch, Shrewsbury.
Detached house and yard where gates were climbed in order to gain access to stables. Padlock broken off tack room and shed - nothing stolen, believed offenders were disturbed. Incident 210-S-040715 refers.

Quatt/Wooton area near Bridgnorth
0858hrs today - 7th July 2015 there was an attempt theft of a horse in the Quatt/Wooton area near Bridgnorth.
Officers were despatched to the scene, persons were detained and are now helping police with enquiries. The horse has been returned safely to its owner.

Report of three out buildings Haven Hills Road. Brockton, Shifnal.
The buildings are only a few yards away from a dwelling. Nothing has been stolen from the outbuildings; one of the buildings was a tack room.
It is thought person(s) unknown entered via field and not by the track. No padlock cut, offender(s) unknown have pulled down electric post and rail temporary stock fencing

Incident 114-S-130216 refers. Report of 6 loose horses running along the A44 at approx 04.15 hrs this morning. Police attended and horses returned to a field. Please check your fencing and gates are secure - there are more and more traffic collisions being reported involving horses, some with fatal outcomes.

Incident ref 56-S-100216 refers. Between 18:00hrs on 09/02/16 and 06:30rs on 10/02/16 a padlock was cut off the gates to a small Private stable Yard on Stableford Road, Ackleton and a Black two wheeled Wheel Barrow and a Yellow and Black Generator were stolen. There were 3 other incidents in the area targeting sheds and outbuildings in the same time frame.

Loose horse reported in Bretforton. Described as last seen by the lane near to The Fleece Inn. No description offered and no other sightings. Incident 82-S-120216 refers

Reports of two ponies left in a cornfield in Whettleton, Craven Arms. Described as 1 x brown with a headcollar and rug, 1 x black with no rug. Incident 224-S-120216 refers. Now returned to owner.

Tack room broken into at Whitchurch, Ross-On-Wye. Bracket holding padlock bent. 3 saddles stolen, 4-5 bridles and breast plates. No other details. Incident 218-S-130216 refers.
