HORSE AND RIDER ATTACKED

Location - Murton, County Durham
On Saturday 4th April, a horse & rider were in a field near Murton/South Hetton when they were attacked by what appeared to be a Husky dog.
The dog was swinging from the horse's mane/head, but luckily the rider was experienced enough to gain control of the horse and gallop to a nearby farm, with the dog chasing and attacking along the way.
This is a horrific incident where the horse and rider could have been seriously hurt, and the horse could have ended up on the A19.
Do you know someone in this area who owns a Husky dog?
