FIELD FIRES

Location - Crookhall, Consett, County Durham DH8 ‎
A number of small fires have been lit over the last few weeks in fields close to Crookhall, County Durham.
The fires are thought to have started in bushed on land in approximately 5 different locations and caused damage to fencing.

URGENT - STOLEN LAMB

Location - Quebec, Durham, County Durham DH7
At roughly 19:15 today (15th April) a 3 month old lamb was stolen from a field at Quebec, County Durham which is likely to die if not reunited with its mother urgently.
The lamb was seen to be taken by a couple who were driving a blue/green 5 door Vauxhall Corsa which drove off in the direction of Langley Park.
The occupants are described as being a white male, aged about 40yrs, blonde/grey short hair and wearing a red jumper.
And a white female, 16 to 17 years of age, blonde/light brown shoulder length hair.

DOG ATTACK ON SHEEP

Location - Darlington
At around 7pm on 13 April 2 light coloured husky type dogs were seen to be worrying sheep on private land at Great Burdon Farm, Darlington.
Two sheep were chased into the river and were recovered by the farmer. Although shaken, the sheep were, on this occasion, uninjured.
The owners of the dogs are described as a white man and woman, both of slim build. The man appeared to be in his late 30's and was wearing a dark coat with red shoulders. The woman was described as in her late teens, wearing dark clothing. They were last seen walking off towards Kempton court area.

STOLEN ELECTRIC FENCE ENERGISER

Location - Burnopfield, Newcastle upon Tyne, County Durham NE16
Overnight on Saturday 18 April/Sunday 19 April a battery pack/energiser for an electric fence was stolen from a field in Burnopfield, County Durham

SUSPICIOUS FARMLAND DIGGING

Location - Low Westwood, Newcastle upon Tyne, County Durham NE17 ‎
Reports of suspicious digging on farmland in the area of Low Westwood, County Durham over the weekend with significantly large & potentially dangerous holes left behind.

MISSING FOXHOUND

Location - Weardale, County Durham (Bishop Auckland, County Durham DL13)
Please can everyone keep their eyes open for this Foxhound bitch who went missing in Stanhope, County Durham at around 3pm today (Wednesday 22 April).

STOLEN RAMS

Location - Lanchester, County Durham
We have received a report of the theft of 9 Swaledale Rams from a field in the Lanchester area between between Saturday 18th April and Sunday 19th April. Location details to be confirmed and an update to follow.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

Location - Satley, Bishop Auckland, County Durham DL13 ‎
Police are appealing for information in tracing a suspicious vehicle seen in the Pan Lane area of Satley, County Durham this morning (Thur 23 April).
The vehicle is a silver Ford Focus Estate with two male occupants and possible an 02 or 04 registration.
Please report any sightings to Consett Police on 101.

STOLEN LED RECOVERY LIGHT BAR

Location - Gateshead, Tyne & Wear
An LED recovery light bar has been stolen from a Nissan Navara in the Gateshead area overnight (Mon/Tue 18/19 April)
It is a 45" Federal Signal LED bar, worth a lot of money and very rare in the UK. However it is totally useless as the thieves did not steal the control box with which to operate it.
Also stolen were some tools from a tool box and small strobe lights.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

Location - Leadgate, County Durham
A silver Chrysler vehicle has just visited a rural location in Leadgate, County Durham making enquiries about unused batteries. The vehicle was distinctive as it had a magnetic orange beacon on the roof.
No further details at this time, but please report sightings to Consett Police on 101.

HAVE YOU SEEN GEORGE?

Location - Consett, County Durham
George the polecat has been missing from Consett since 22:00hrs on 27/04/2015. He is brown in colour with black colouring around eyes which looks like a mask. He also has a milky coloured left eye.
Please contact PC 2495 SMITH from Consett police on 101 if you have seen him.

STOLEN QUAD BIKE

Location - Crook, County Durham
A yellow Suzuki LT50 quad bike has been stolen from Crook, County Durham on Saturday 25th April.

STOLEN NOTICEBOARD

Location - Castleside, Consett

A noticeboard with glass front (similar to photo) was stolen between 18:00hrs on the 5th of May and 07:00hrs on the 6th of May from the grassed area at the junction between Howards Buildings and Park Terrace in Castleside, Consett, County Durham.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

Location - Consett, CountyDurham
Suspicious vehicle noticed on Wednesday evening in rural locations in the Consett area of County Durham.
A blue flat back vehicle possibly a Toyota Dyna vehicle was seen visiting farms offering metal gates for sale. There were no offences but officers are keen to speak with the occupants and ascertain further information.

STOLEN ELECTRIC FENCE EQUIPMENT

Location - Chester-le-Street, County Durham
Overnight on Thursday 21 May to Friday 22 May 2015 two electric fence energisers, earth stakes, crocodile clips and connectors were stolen from a farm near Chester-Le-Street, County Durham.

DAMAGE TO POLYTUNNEL

Location - Darlington

Between the 26th and 27th of April unknown persons have entered Bellburn Allotments and cut a large hole out of a plastic polytunnel causing £500 worth of damage.
Do you know who is responsible? Have you seen this plastic sheeting suddenly appear in someones garden/allotment?

STOLEN HORSE JUMPS

Location - Castleside, County Durham
Have you seen these items? They were stolen from a field in the Castleside area of County Durham (off the A68) between 10pm Tuesday 21st July-8.30am Wednesday 22nd July.
Items stolen include: six plastic horse jumping pro jump wing maxi stands. These are described as being unique, purple and pink all with splatters of brightly coloured paint.
Also stolen were 18 pairs of Jumpkin wings also pink and purple in colour as in the attached photo.
