Police in Penzance are calling on members of the public to assist in finding a pair of horses taken from a field in Castle Gate.

The police made the appeal earlier today and believe that the horses were taken from the field overnight on Friday, December 18.

The field in Castle Gate is just off the road leading to St Ives from Penzance, via Gulval and Nancledra.

Police are urging anyone with information to get in contact using the 101 phone number and quote crime reference number CR/087167/15.

Katie Stephan = Hi Hun, our babies are back!!! We didn't need to wait to get them home, they just walked down the main road and into their fields as if nothing had happened!! Little buggers but I love them so much!! Who said we were waiting to get them home? ( strange )! Anyway I want to thankyou so much, but saying thankyou just doesn't seem enough!!! To have people you don't know willing to give up their time, or make the effort to write a status for us is AMAZING and we are so grateful to you for making the effort to help and for appreciating how upset Freya was. You have been amazing and we are forever grateful. You have been amazing! THANKYOU xxx
