CALVES ATTACKED

Location - Isle of Axholme, Lincolnshire

An horrific attack took place yesterday 19 February on 2 6 month old calves, which resulted in one of the calves being put to sleep due to unrepairable damage to its spinal cord.

The dogs responsible were two German Shepherd dogs which had been allowed to run loose among the livestock.

This type of incident is now being seen too often and members of the public are reminded to keep dogs on leads at all times when near livestock. Non compliance can result in the dog being shot.

If you have any further information about this attack please call 101 and spread the word!
