Emaciated Pony Found
Area = Norfolk
The RSPCA is appealing for information after a pony was found emaciated and collapsed in a Norfolk field.
The grey mare was found around on the evening of Thursday 3 December in a field just off a public footpath in Doe Lane, Old Buckenham (between Banham and Attleborough)
The mare had been left tethered in the enclosed field with two other horses, but due to her emaciated condition had become so weak she had collapsed.
Attempts by the RSPCA and a veterinary surgeon to help her up sadly failed so the kindest option was to put her to sleep with the permission of the police and an RSPCA officer.
The mare is thought to be approximately four years old and did not have a microchip. The RSPCA is appealing for anyone with information that may lead to identifying the owner to call 0300 123 8018 and leave a message.
Alternatively if you wish to report any information anonymously, call CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111 or fill in the online form anonymously https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-infor ... on-online/ Quote Police reference NC-03122015-261
