Also - horsewatch members in the Lea, Cottam and Fulwood area are being offered free security marking of their tack - again please email me in order to arrange this.

Other areas in preston are also welcome to have their tack marked however this will be done via a mass tack marking day all at one place- anybody interested please email me so we can arrange this - the more people we have the better :)

Appeal for stolen horsebox

POLICE are appealing for information after a horsebox was stolen from a farm in St Michaels last Thursday (12th July).
The bright blue 18 tonne horsebox was stolen from Paddock Farm Stud on Blackpool Road sometime between 9.30am and 7:30pm.
PC Rachel Bibby said: “Despite the area being rural, the horsebox was stolen in broad daylight and I am convinced someone must have seen it in transit.

“The horsebox has a hole in the rear of the van on the ramp where the words ‘Horses’ are written. I’d urge anybody that thinks they may have seen this vehicle or with any information about its whereabouts to contact Lancashire Police quoting crime reference BC1202881.”

People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.

Hi,
We are warning all horse owners to be vigilant after the suspected attempted theft of electric fencing in the Higher Bartle/Fulwood area last night. This incident occurred between 9pm and 7am this morning - electric fence and posts were found wrapped up in a neat pile; the perimeter fencing has not been disturbed and the field gates were chained and padlocked.
