Do you know the whereabouts of this very distinctive horse box? It was stolen from the Hampshire area on 25 February 2012. The horse box was manufactured by Grays of Hampshire. The Registration number is MX55DXB.

Please be aware that thieves may try to alter the colour as well as the serial numbers and plate ID. However, the style/model will remain the same. Potential buyers please be mindful.

Please report any sightings to the police immediately. Quote the crime reference number (RMS 44120079980) remembering to say that it is a Hampshire crime.

You can contact the police from anywhere in the country by dialling 101 (for non-emergencies). For emergency calls dial 999.

17 November 2013

Below are recent crime details.

Repeated message Post Code everything. Given the report below of a stolen field shelter consider post coding these structures. Postcode the roof , sides etc.

Please can I make you aware of three very recent reports to livery yards in Gentles lane Liphook.

44130431547
44130431459
44130431441
They are all linked.

Rugs, and food etc taken… An line of enquiry is that this is probably being done by people who have horses themselves!!

Also two reports of theft of hay in the Liss area?
44130429416
44130426663

Theft of field shelter, Lower Farringdon, Alton

Over night 12/13 November 2013

Reference RMS 44130430137

This relates to the theft of a bespoke horse field shelter. It is unique in construction. Click on icon to view

Image
(photo hosted on new TE gallery)

An interesting point and something to consider…the thieves actually took the trouble to unscrew the haynet rings from the walls. As the aggrieved said why would they do that, why take the trouble and time to do that? She thinks that maybe the thieves won't use the shelter for keeping a horse in.

Memories are short but bear in mind any new strucures being put up in fields, yards, farms etc. Let the police know if you see anything similar being advertised for sale. Quote the crime reference above.

The shelter was constructed by the aggrieved. It is 16' x 12' The back of the shelter is constructed in 3 sections and has louver windows made out of different wood than the sides. The roof is made of Onduuline material/covering

There were 3 rugs stolen

2 X Weathterbeeta dark blue 5' 9"

5' 6" stable rug colour dark blue

These rugs were not post coded but the ones on the horses backs belonging to the aggrieved in fields next door are.

Also stolen several sheep hurdles.

Non Dwelling Burglary

Date: 2100 01/04/14 and 0645 02/04/14

Over night of a burglary occurred at Hewshott Stables, Liphook.

Thieves broke into a locked tack room and stole a large quantity of saddles and bridles, girths, stirrups. The thieves
used a Gator field machine to drive away the stolen tack across fields to a waiting vehicle, the Gator was also stolen.

A number of the stolen items of tack are security marked and as such are identifiable by the owners.

These premises have been targetted before! All those who have experienced similar crimes should be revise their security as it is possible that thieves will revisit on the basis that victims will have replaced their previously stolen items.
