Stolen tack - Can you help Nottinghamshire Police?
Alert message sent 23/02/2012 14:58:00
Information sent on behalf of Lincolnshire Police

We have received two reports of break-ins to stables in Nottinghamshire over the past two nights.

The first was at Gringley on the Hill where the tack room was broken into where tools and three saddles were stolen.

The second was at Skegby where thieves entered a horse paddock where a saddle and tack was stolen. Part of the tack stolen was a driving harness with a gold coloured horses head. The breastplate was black leather. Please see the attached picture of the saddle, which is a rare American style saddle.

Are you able to help Nottinghamshire Police locate these items, have they been offered for sale in Lincolnshire?

If you have any information please contact Steve Walsh Pre crime manager. Tel: 101 ext 800 3042 - Nottinghamshire Police

SHEEP HURT
Location - ‪Retford‬, Nottinghamshire‬
Hebridean sheep and their lambs have been hurt after barbed wire surrounding their enclosure was sabotaged at a Retford nature reserve.

Staff at Idle Valley now believe that someone has a grievance against the reserve after 148 separate cuts were made to fencing.
The malicious act led to the sheep becoming entangled in the broken wire and having to be rescued by wardens and volunteers.
The attacks have been going on for months and the Trust members are struggling to understand why someone would want to harm the livestock.
