MESSAGE FOR COUNTRY WATCH AND HORSE WATCH MEMBERS
A horse is believed to have been stolen from a farm in Calverton.
A group of nine horses escaped through a farm gate which had been left open. Eight of the horses have been found by the owner, however the chestnut gelding is still missing. He is described as 16 hands; he is chestnut all over with a short tail (which has been chewed by the foals). He is believed to have been stolen as he would normally stay with the herd.
The theft took place overnight between 5 and 6 December.
U R N 4 0 8 dated 6 December - please quote this reference is you contact the police.
Please be vigilant and if you notice anyone acting suspiciously please contact the police on 101 or for a crime in action please dial 9 9 9.
