Paris, 16.2hh, chestnut mare

Post by Paris 2015 »

I am looking for any information on a mare called Paris who was sold through the Malvern performance sales in September 2012.

She is chestnut, has two white socks - one higher than the other on her hind legs. A nasty V shaped scar on the smaller of the two white socks.

She has a very even white stripe down her face, covering slightly more of 1 nostril than the other.

Flaxen mane and tail. Very thick mane naturally with a poor tail.

She would be 13/14 now I think.

She is a very well mannered mare on the ground, very dominant in the field. Very food orientated. Relatively good do-er for her type.

She is not a novice ride. Excellent showjumper - scopey and brave. Fabulous hunter - plenty of blood and sure footed like a pony.

She is very much missed.

Is the Malvern performance sales through Brightwells, Worcestershire ?
I had a quick look to see if I could see her catalogue entry in the 2012 sales but didn't notice a Paris listed, does she have a registered name that she was sold under ?

Shared on facebook and twitter
Fingers crossed for some news

Past results for Malvern Festival of the Horse & Show sale
Tuesday, 10th September 2013

The Property of Mrs R. Jones
Lot 6 - PARIS, CHESNUT MARE, 9 YEARS, 16.2HH APPROX
A lovely natured mare that has been at the same family home for 8 years. Scopey and brave jumper, an ideal riding club all rounder or would suit a BSJA home. Hunted with the Anglesey Drag. Snaffle mouthed at all times. Hacks alone and in company but not 100% in heavy traffic. Used to country lanes. From a farm home. Very straightforward to ride in open spaces.
Sold for £950

Have you asked Brightwells if they would be able to forward your details on the buyer for you ?
You would need to give them the above information, lot number, sale date etc.

Can I just say that's it's so nice to have seen this post about my horse paris, I bought her with very little background on her as she has been passed about over the last few years so much, and to find her original owner who loved her so much is just lovely, any wait to meet up and hear all about my chestnut beauty's previous life xxx
