Horse sold whilst on loan

Hi does anyone know how I stand my horse is currently on full loan but today get told that someone has brought her so my loan person has broken our contract I've tried to get in contact with her but she has ignored me and just said she has loaned her out to someone I've found out where I think the horse may be can I turn up with the police and claim my horse back ?

What's the latest on your situation ?
Did you have a written loan contract ?
