Oh heck, I forgot just how sad parts of this film were.
The black horse laying down under the bridge and dying.
Joey running through No Mans Land and getting covered in barbed wire

Edit to add -
The best bit was when the lad had his eyes bandaged up and he owl called Joey and the horse ran to him
Then when the lad described the horse and the other lads started washing muck off the horse and it was Joey
