USA - Jax (Kilkenny Prince), 16.2hh, dark bay / brown gelding

USA - Kilkenny Prince 16.2 ISH gelding, dk bay/brown

Barn name "Jax",16.2, dark bay/brown with no white markings. No scars or outstanding marks. Foaled 1996 or 1997. Sire is Cavalier Royale and dame is unknown (may have been named Vicky).

I was told he was imported from Ireland in 2000 by Tara Verkuil, who I have tried to contact several times with no response. "Jax" competed preliminary eventing in the US in California. Said to be registered Irish Sport Horse but Horse Sport Ireland does not turn up matches under the name I was given. However there is a "Killeany Prince", born 1996 by Cavalier Royale but no listed breeder.

Extremely well trained, knows his job (half pass, counter canter, auto flying leads, etc), extremely brave jumper. Can be a pushy pill on the ground but overall good horse.

Just looking for any information on Jax's history as I only know what I've posted above. I've owned him for one year and got him from a friend who bought him from another girl who only had him for a month or so. The names she gave of past owners do not check out.

Just a few brief notes ... Have you had Jax scanned for a microchip ?

If you could email me some photos for his advert, that will help (sorry haven't checked emails as yet)

Kilkenny Prince pedigree = http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/kilkenny+prince2

Same name but different breeding = https://practicalpunting.com.au/horse/k ... nce/369943
Ignore this link, it's not the same horse

Prefix register link = http://www.centralprefixregister.com/search.php
Closest to Kilkenny = KILKENNYS , registered by J B & G M T DEHAAN ... but try typing in Kilk and see if he could have a different prefix, some can sound like other names depending on dialect of the area.

I'll email photos shortly!

The allbreed pedigree is my entry. He is by Cavalier Royale, a Holsteiner, he's not full Thoroughbred. He also was in the US and competing in eventing as of 2004 so the practical punting link isn't him.

He could definitely have a different prefix. My vet was unable to locate a microchip but she also said that not all horses in the late 90's and early 00's were microchipped prior to importation.
