3 November 2014

I have over the weekend received a message from a Horsewatch member that has been a victim of theft. The theft of vehicle batteries from the field used to charge the electric fencing units in Northey Road in Peterborough and the batteries were marked. The offender/s did not take the electric fencing units only the batteries.

Blue Lane, Wimblington, March
Padlock forced off and missing from a container which is used for storage. Unsure if anything is missing at this time. This is a stable yard that is storing all sorts of gardening equipment as well as horse related items, so unsure at this time what the offender/s would be after.

Across the force area we have seen a tickle of trailer thefts but they have all been flat bed or mesh sided trailers, this is the first horse trailer that has been stolen in a while.

Make sure you are taking proper security precautions, wheel lock on the front trailer wheel, hitch locks and security marking, postcode on the roof etc…

CF0056760215 7-10/02
Washingley Lane, Washingley, Huntingdon
Theft of a green Richardson horse trailer which contained a cream coloured tack box, it had 5 new tyres, with a new floor and rough welding in the breast panels inside.
