A strange incident has occurred at the above location where an owner has found 2 letters 'O' & 'R' engraved / carved into the hoof of the horse, this was along the white area of the hoof below the coronet band. Unknown circumstances as to why these letters have occurred. Since this incident the energiser for the field has also been tampered with and a young horse has been found out of his field in the walk way to the fields.

I have spoken to the owner of this horse and although we find this suspicious we do not have a proper explanation for it. If anyone would like any more information about suspicious situations like the above or any thing else please contact me on the below details as we want to try and prevent messages flying around scaring horse owners.

An Ifor Williams Horsebox trailer, blue and silver, top has been hand painted blue, wheels have cream centres and the initials 'NT' have been engraved by an angle grinder on both sides of the draw bar. The trailer has been stolen from a remote farmyard containing 60 bales of hay. Trailer was displaying index number AD03XRW.

The side saddle is very rare. A red Ford Ranger pick-up style vehicle was seen driving around the area in the week of the burglary, index similar to W618 YEB.

Energiser unit, leisure battery and earth stake stolen from an electric fencing system in a field at location.

Also a yard in Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire was broken into on Tuesday 17th January 2012. This has not been reported to the police.
Main gate is metal five barred gate with barbed wire around bars and extended at the top. It was climbed over.
All storage boxes had been searched.
One small padlock on a tall cabinet was cut off but none of the contents taken.
An electric fence unit, tape and posts taken.
A yard broom taken.
Bag of mix taken (about £6).
Padlocked shed where tack sometimes stored broken open and chest of drawers searched.
Padlocked door into main barn broken through but nothing taken.
Tractor shed searched but diesel not taken.

Overnight unknown offenders have gained entry to a site at location using bolt croppers to cut the padlock on the gate. Various items have been stolen from the site and a secured unit within including a twin axle, twin box Hunter horse trailer, Kubota GR1600 rise on lawnmower in orange, Dewalt cordless drills, jigsaw, circular saw and spare batteries for the drills, a compressor, Nilfisk Alto pressure washer, Ama Hedge trimmer and 2 x folding aluminium ladders.

Between above times, unknown offenders have entered the stable and barn by removing the eyelets on the doors of the stables and taking the padlocks. They have then stolen 2 sets of leather bridles and collars. Exact details not known at this time.

Trailer is described as used to transport hay, 14’ long and 6’ wide, with blue painted metalwork and a green flatbed which is post-coded in several places. There is also a slight dent on the fore-end.

A green Ifor Williams horsebox trailer was stolen from Wimblington, March on 14th Feb. This has been found in Murrow, Wisbech and returned to the owner.

It took me a while (a day and a half) to find the owner of this trailer as the current owner had not registered the trailer with Ifor Williams. Also when recording the trailer stolen the owner had not given the Police any serial numbers. Please make sure your trailer is registered to you with Ifor Williams and take a note of the serial number and the laser etched number on the chassis, because in the event it is stolen and found the Police can return it to you.

The tack that has been stolen from this incident is very unique. Please see the attached picture to get an example of the type of saddlery. The tack will be very big as its to fit Percheron horses and its used to show them in. It consists of bridles and rollers.

There were 2 yellow, 2 pink, 2 blue, 2 bright green and 2 red stolen, and 2 green blocks, and also stolen a mounting block made of green plastic, 2 steps.

Between 13:30 hrs on 3rd May and 07:30 hrs on 4th May 2013 tack was stolen from a barn in the Oundle area close to the Cambridgeshire border.

2 saddles and 3 bridles were stolen; a black 'Gallop' wide fitting close contact saddle with a Heather Moffat seatsaver, a brown 'Ideal' Medium GP saddle with a high cantle and a sheepskin numnah and gel pad, a full size brown bridle with a continental noseband and flash with a dutch gag, a full size black bridle with a flash and a dutch gag and a standing martingale and a black cob sized bridle with a flash noseband, an eggbutt french link and running martingale.

Offenders have entered 3 out buildings and stolen 3 horse trollies / carts with the harnesses and diesel. They left the scene across the fields towards the A141.

Saddles have been found at an address in Great Gidding after Police were called to an unrelated incident. The owners have been located for the saddles but some other equine items remain outstanding including a equine inhaler. I have had a search on our systems for the victim but this item has not been recorded as a stolen item on any crime. If anyone has any knowledge of who it may belong to then please contact me on the below details.
