EWE KILLED IN DOG ATTACK
Location - Devizes, Wiltshire
On Sunday night/Monday morning 6th October a ewe was attacked by a dog running loose in the farmers field. The ewe had to be destroyed as she could not be saved.
The incident has been logged with the police but if you can provide any further information, please call 101.

STOLEN WOODCHIPPER - SPREAD THE WORD!
Location - Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire
Overnight on the 28/01/2015 in Thornhill, Royal Wootton Bassett, unknown persons have removed a Timberwolf 150 wood chipper from a secure barn.
Also taken was an engine unit and attachments, approx value of items £12,000.
If you have any information in regards to the burglary or to the whereabouts of the Woodchipper please contact Rural Crime Officer PC 1945 Jackson via 101 or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.

An Ifor Williams P6 trailer (Serial Number - 318695) has been stolen overnight from a smallholding in the Ramsbury Marlborough area of Wiltshire.
Offenders broke security lights and also removed straw and a tarpaulin.
The theft and damage happened between 18.30 16th and 08.00 17th March 2015.

ALPACA SAVAGED TO DEATH
Location - Malmesbury, Wiltshire SN16
A COUPLE who breed alpacas in Malmesbury have been left stunned and concerned after one of their recently born creatures was savaged to death.
Phillip and Debbie Neal, of Abbey View Farm, found the carcass of the five month old alpaca when they went to feed their 40-strong herd on Saturday morning. The animal had bite marks to its legs indicating that it had been chased, while the area around its hip had been ripped to the bone.
Mrs Neal said they were assuming that it had been mauled to death by a dog.
SUSPICIOUS MALES
Location - Semley, Shaftesbury, Wiltshire SP7
Two males with Irish accents and very pushy sales pitch asking if locals wanted to buy chain saws etc in the area of Semley and A350. The tools are possibly stolen or inferior quality.
Vehicles involved were a blue Ford van and the other was a white van. The witness said the vans looked like hire vehicles.
If you are approached by similar males, please call 999 if possible or report historical on 101.

SCAM TELEPHONE CALLS

Wiltshire Police has reported a potential scam to their Rural Crime team.
Their farming community has been receiving telephone calls from somebody claiming to be a John Thomas from the Wiltshire Rural Crime Team. He was asking to speak to the owner of the farm and if they could list the vehicles they had and if they were data tagged.
When the farmers questioned the caller’s legitimacy and asking if they could call him back as the line was very bad he hung up. The voice was of a male and was very husky, as though he has a sore throat.
There is no John Thomas in the Wiltshire Rural Crime Team department.
Please be advised that it is believed that this scam is an attempt to identify items to steal. time.Please tell your friends and families about this scam to spread the message as far as possible.
As with any cold callers, please, do not give out your personal or financial details. If the caller is genuine then there will be no issue with you calling them back to verify their identity.
To verify a Police Officer’s identify ask for their collar number and which station they work at – only use 101 to contact them back.
In the event that you receive any such calls try to obtain the telephone number from which the call was made by using 1471. Contact Police on 101 and report all instances.

Location - Little Langford, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP3
The theft of has occured of 112 15kg bags of maize seed from an open fronted barn in the Little Langford, Salisbury area overnight on 14/15 April 2015.
Each bag had the following certification number FO252H4B1484.

THEFT OF SWANS EGGS

On Wednesday 15 May a member of the public witnessed three male youths stealing swans eggs from a location within Middle Street Meadows, Harnham, Wiltshire.
The offenders were described as all being male white youths:
Two of them were wearing black hoodies, one was wearing a green and white hoodie and all wore dark blue jeans and white trainers.

FRAUDULENT CALLS

Over the last few days offender/s have been calling farms in the Wiltshire area claiming to be the Police.
There have been more than 10 occasions where a male calling himself John Thomas is fraudulently asking farmers for money or asking questions to see if farm equipment is data tagged.
The fraudster makes up a story along the lines of 'I am from the Police Force and we are teaching children the dangers that farms can bring, can you make a donation to this cause?'

Overnight on Wednesday 30 to Thursday 31 December 2015 offenders broke into a tack room in the Foxhill area of Swindon and removed ten saddles.
Each Childeric saddle has a plaque rear of the seat reading "Svennerstal"
Each Voltaire saddle has plaque reading "LS" followed by a single number (1 to 4)
The offenders removed:
2x clippers
2x Big tubs leg clay from TRM
Magnetic rug
15x bridles (3 from PS of Sweden, 8 from Otto Schumacher, 1 from Dy’on, 3 unknown brand)
6x breastplates
4x martingales
4x 10ml catrophen
1 litre regumate
