Rural Watch & Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 28 April 2015

Incident 356 of 24 April - Southam
Between 3 and 4am on 24 April, offenders attempted to get into a secure shed at a farm premises in Southam. The offenders smashed the rear of the shed and removed insulation sheets but did not manage to get inside and nothing was stolen.

Incident 54 of 27 April - Lower Brailes, Banbury
At some point over the last weekend, offenders broke the padlock off a gate and security fencing at a new build site in Lower Brailes. Once on site, the offenders stole a Benford 3 tonne, yellow coloured dumper truck, without the keys.

RW HW Incidents at Rural Premises in Bulkington, Lighthorne & Birchley Heath

Incident 155 of 28 April - Bulkington
At 11.20am on 28 April, offenders entered an insecure Nissan vehicle parked at a farm premises in Bedworth Road, Bulkington and stole a handbag and a child's bag, before making off in a red Mazda.

Incident 78 of 1 May - Lighthorne, Warwick
During the night of 30 April in to 1 May, offenders stole over 50 chickens, some chicks and other items from secure stables at a cottage home in Chesterton Road, Lighthorne.

Incident 333 of 29 April - Birchley Heath
Between 9pm on 28 and 3pm on 29 April, offenders broke in to a premises in Birchley Heath and stole 2 chainsaws and a petrol hedging sheers.

Incident 137 of 28 April - Bulkington
At just after 12.15pm on 28 April, a witness saw a vehicle parked in a gateway in Wolvey Road, near to the motorway bridge and two males in a nearby field, containing a barn.
The witness saw one of the males was holding bolt croppers and was trying to break in to the barn. Once they realised that they had been spotted, the offenders jumped in to the car and headed off towards Bulkington.

Rural watch & Horse Watch Bulletin – 7 May 2015

Incident 163 of 1 May - Ryton on Dunsmore
At some point before 1.15pm on 1 May, offenders entered a insecure yard and stables at a farm premises in Ryton on Dunsmore and stole 3 CCTV cameras which were being in the process of being installed on the stable walls.

Incident 294 of 4 May - Pathlow
At some point on 30 April, offenders broke in to a storage barn at a farm premises in Pathlow, Stratford upon Avon. Valuable items were stolen and the offenders caused damage to other items inside the barn.

Incident 222 of 2 May - Napton
Between 18 and 25 April, offenders entered a steel container at a farm premises in Napton and stole an Alien V4 blue quad bike. The handles of the bike have blue polka dots on them and it has a distinctive split mudguard. The offenders also stole a whacker plate and a Stihl disc cutter.

Incident 201 of 5 May - Studley
Between 9am on 3 and 9am on 4 May, offenders removed the corrugated roof from a disused chicken shed situated in a paddock off the Bromsgrove Road, Studley.

Incident 80 of 6 May - Mancetter
During the night of 5 into 6 May, offenders broke in to a nursery business at a farm premises in Mancetter and stole many items including 12 Tordilines, two trays of Agranthiams and trays of other summer bedding plants from inside poly tunnels. Many of the plants were loaded on to a trolley and pushed to the end of the driveway.

Incident 86 of 6 May - Hampton on the Hill, Warwick
At some point over the past week, offenders have stolen a trailer from a farm premises in Hampton on the Hill.

Rural Watch and Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 16 June 2015

Incident 47 of 15 June - Barby, Rugby
At around 7.20am on 15 June, two foreign masked males, in their mid 20's, armed with knives broke into a home at a farm premises in Barby, Rugby and made demands of the occupants of the house. The offenders made off with items of jewellery and cutlery. No one was hurt in the incident

Incident 155 of 15 June - Fillongley
Between 5pm on 9 June and 8am on 14 June, offenders stole the front and rear number plates from a Suzuki vehicle parked at a farm premises in Fillongley. The offenders pulled the plates off and left the broken screws on the floor.

Incident 118 of 14 June - Willoughby, Rugby
Between midnight and 7.30am on 14 June, offenders broke into a brick built workshop in the yard of a farm premises in Willoughby, Rugby. The offenders made off with several Makita and Bosch power tools, including drills, sanders and jigsaws.

Incident 274 of 12 June - Lowsonford
At some point before 4.30pm on 12 June, offenders stole a quantity of heating oil from a tank at a cottage home in Narrow Lane, Lowsonford.

Incident 140 of 13 June - Chastleton, Moreton in Marsh
At some point before 12.15pm on 13 June, offenders entered a secure caravan parked at a farm premises in Chastleton, Moreton in Marsh after prising open one of the windows.
Once inside, the offenders stole several cheques from a chequebook. One of the cheques has since been cashed.

Incident number 56 of 17 June - Bodymoor Heath
During the night of 16 into 17 June, offenders stole a Hobby, twin axle, caravan from storage at a farm premises in Bodymoor Heath.

Incident 225 of 16 June - Coleshill
Between 10 and 16 June, offenders stole a large quantity of red diesel from machinery at a rural business site in Stonebridge Road, Coleshill.

Incident 59 of 17 June - Meriden
During the night of 16 into 17 June, offenders stole a safe from a secure office at a fisheries premise in Somers Road, Meriden.

Incident 143 of 17 June - Meriden
Also during the night of 16 into 17 June, offenders stole red diesel from machinery at a rural business premises in Packington Lane, Meriden.

Incident 83 of 20 June - Corley
At some point between 17 and 20 June, offenders broke into stables at a farm premises in Wall Hill Road, Corley after removing security bars from windows. Once inside, the offenders carried out an untidy search and stole items including and unopened gift.

Incident 106 of 20 June - Seckington, Tamworth
During the night of 19 into 20 June, offenders jemmied the padlocks off two sheds at a farm premises in Seckington. The offenders then entered the sheds to carry out searches before making off with 2 air power tools from one of the sheds.

Incident 107 of 20 June - Corley
During the night of 19 into 20 June, offenders broke into outbuildings at a cottage home in Common Lane, Corley. The offenders cropped the locks off the doors, entered the buildings and carried out searches. It is not yet clear if anything was stolen.

Incident 239 of 21 June - Fillongley
At some point before 2.30pm on 21 June, offenders entered an insecure garage at a rural business and home in Coventry Road, Fillongley. Once inside, the offenders then forced the padlock off a large walk in store and stole a large quantity of power tools from inside.

Incident 108 of 21 June - Birchley Heath
During the night of 20 into 21 June, offenders broke into a secure container at a farm premises in Birchley heath and stole a red quad bike and a Stihl chainsaw from inside.

Incident 190 of 20 June - Withybrook
During the night of 19 into 20 June, offenders removed a hayrick and damaged a water trough in a field at a farm premises in Overstone Road, Withybrook.

Rural Watch & Horse watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 22 July 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural businesses across Warwickshire over recent days:

Incident 71 of 14 July - Marston Lane, Bedworth
During the night of 13 into 14 July, offenders approached a stable yard in Marston Lane, Bedworth and ripped the main gate of its hinges to gain access to the site.
Once inside, the offenders pulled fencing up from around a generator, which was bolted to the floor, and then stole the generator.

Incident 223 of 14 July - High Cross, Lutterworth
Between 4.30pm on 13 and 7am on 14 July, offenders climbed over an embankment and lifted fencing around a quarry premises in High Cross and then entered the yard. Once inside, the offenders siphoned a quantity of diesel from various tanks and machinery.
Staffs at the site noticed that 5 empty drums appeared nearby last week and have now disappeared.

Incident 313 of 11 July - Napton
At some point before 5.15pm on 11 July, offenders undid some fencing around a rural business premises in Butt Hill, Napton and entered the yard. Once inside, the offenders managed to start up a fork lift truck and drove it away from the site.
The offenders are believed to have abandoned the forklift when they hit something in the ground and ripped off a tyre.

Incident 105 of 10 July - Hockley Heath
During the night of 9 into 10 July, offenders entered an outbuilding at a rural premises in Ashford lane, Hockley Heath after removing the padlock from the door.
Once inside, the offenders stole 12 head collars. Damage was also caused to a horsebox and an attempt was made to get into another building.

Incident 197 of 15 July - Meriden
Between 12 and 15 July, offenders entered a rural business site in Packington Lane, Meriden and stole a large quantity of diesel from machinery.
The thieves stole the diesel in several visits.

Incident 87 of 15 July - Nuneaton
During the night of 14 into 15 July, offenders broke into 2 large shipping containers at a rural business premises in Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton after smashing the padlocks off the doors.
Once inside, the offenders stole a large quantity of copper, brass and stainless steel.

Incident 60 of 16 July - Woolscott, Rugby
During the night of 15 into 16 July, offenders entered a farm premises in Woolscott, Rugby from a field after smashing the padlock off a gate.. Once on site, the offenders attempted to get inside a barn but the attempt failed and nothing was stolen.

Incident 108 of 16 July - Wibtoft, Lutterworth
At around midday on 13 July a male offender, in a Vauxhall combi van with the part reg of YS51 N** entered the yard of a farm premises in Wibtoft, had a good look around and then stole 3 gas bottles.

Incident 188 of 21 July - High Cross, Lutterworth
During the night of 19 into 20 July, offenders took down Harris fencing to enter a quarry premises in High Cross, Lutterworth.
Once on site, the offenders attempted to force open a metal storage container and caused damage to the door in the process. They also smashed the windscreen of a vehicle and stole a quantity of red diesel from a digger.

Incident 68 of 22 July - Pitchill, Evesham
Between 17 and 22 July, offenders stole a cable, which had been installed in a trench in a remote field of a farm premises in Pitchill, Evesham.

Please be aware of the follwing incidents that have happened in our area:

Inc 299 of 12/8/15
Sometime between 1400 and 1800 hrs during 12/8/15, a boat moored on the Oxford Canal near Warwick has been broken into and after an untidy search some items have been taken.

Inc 135 of 13/8/15
Fuel has been stolen from a number of vehicles at a rural property in Meriden. Offenders are believed to have left in a Ford Transit van.

Inc 59 of 12/8/15
A John Deere tractor has been stolen from a farm in Weethley, Alcester. Vehicle is green with yellow wheels, model no. 855D. Offenders may have used a trailer or low loader to remove the vehicle.

Inc 361 of 12/8/15
Sometime between 1700 on 8/8/15 and 1700 10/8/15 unknown offenders have cut off 6' x 12' electric ornate gates at a property in Fenny Drayton.

Inc 219 of 13/8/15
Between 1415 hrs and 1530 hrs offenders have stolen 6 metre painted green columns from a rural property in Grendon.

Inc 160 of 14/8/15
Equipment has been damaged at a rural location on Leicester Road, Rugby. During the night of 13th/14th, unknown offenders have smashed windows and ripped off a steering wheel and lights.

Inc 71 of 14/8/15
Sometime between 2100 hrs on 13/8/15 and 0500 hrs on 14/8/15, unknown offenders have stolen an Ifor Williams 3 tonne trailer and a quantity of fuel from a farm in Wolvey.

RW & HW Rural Watch & Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin - 14 August 2015

Inc 80 of 11 August - Corley
Unknown offenders have entered a farm yard in Corley, after parking their vehicle on a grass verge and crossing a field to enter a locked outbuilding. Once inside they have stolen a number of tools and power tools. If you saw anything that may relate to this incident or have any information that could help the police with their enquiries please call 101 and quote incident 80 of 11/8/15.

Inc 131 of 10 August - Nethercote
Unknown offenders have cut a lock at a fuel tank at a farm in Nethercote, but the tank was empty. They have then gone over some fields to a tractor and siphoned out diesel. The offenders also broke into a toolbox and stole a number of tools. If you have any information that could help the Police with their enquiries please call 101 quoting the incident number above.

Incident 59 of 12 August - Weethley, Alcester
During the night of 11 into 12 August, offenders stole a John Deere tractor from a farm premises in Weethley, Alcester.

The thieves are believed to have towed the tractor out of a field and through a gateway half a mile away. They also attempted to hacksaw the lock off a diesel tank at the farm but no diesel was stolen.

Incident 251 of 10 August - Coleshill
Between 15 April and 26 July offenders entered a mobile phone compound near to the motorway in Coleshill and stole a large quantity of aluminium lightening tape from the mast, along with fencing and other equipment.

Incident 60 of 11 August - Frankton, Rugby
During the night of 10 into 11 August, offenders stole a blue Landrover Defender vehicle with a canvas back along with a concrete breaker and a Muck Truck motor powered wheelbarrow from a farm premises in Frankton

Incident 232 of 10 August - Church Lawford, Rugby
At some point before 2.30pm on 10 August, offenders entered the front garden of a rural home in Limestone Hall Lane, Church Lawford and stole 2 large stone urns that where located by the front door and contained bedding plants. The urns are over 100 years old and were placed on 2 square plinths, which were also stolen.

Incident 402 of 12 August - Napton, Rugby
During the night of 11 into 12 August, possibly around midnight, offenders stole a dark green coloured quad bike from a rural business premises in Shuckburgh Road, Napton. The resident heard scraping noises at around midnight and this may be connected.

Incident 139 of 11 August - Beoley
During the night of 10 into 11 August, offenders broke into a stable barn at a farm premises in Beoley, Redditch after smashing the lock off the door. Once inside, the offenders broke the lock off the tack room, entered the room and stole 5 saddles and other items.

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural premises across Warwickshire over recent days:

Incident 102 of 15 August - Bramcote, Nuneaton
During the night of 14 into 15 August, offenders broke into outbuildings at a farm premises in Bramcote. Once inside, the offenders carried out a search before making off with chainsaws, hedge trimmers and other tools.

Incident 143 of 15 August - Burton Hastings
During the night of 14 into 15 August, offenders broke into a tack room at a stable yard in Burton Hastings, after jemmying the padlock off the door. Once inside, the offenders stole a quantity of riding equipment including 5 saddles, 4 bridles, 6 rugs and other items.

Incident 270 of 14 August - Lapworth
Between 1.30pm on 13 and 1pm on 14 August, offenders broke into 3 sheds at a stables premises in Lapworth. Various items were stolen.

Incident 373 of 15 August - Priors Hardwick
Between 12noon on 14 and 6pm on 15 August 54 North Country Cheviot breeding ewes and female yules were stolen from a field in Priors Hardwick.

Incident 188 of 17 August - Priors Marston
Between 14 and 17 August, offenders stole a set of wooden farm gates, complete with chain and hinges from a field at a farm premises in Priors Hardwick.

Incident 99 of 2 September - Nether Whitacre
During the night of 1 into 2 September, offenders entered fields belonging to a riding club in Coton Road, Nether Whitacre and stole 10 wooden rings, used for holding the poles for the jumps. The rings were stolen from jumps nearest the bottom of the field.

Incident 302 of 2 September - Arley
Between 31 August and 2 September, someone cut pieces of hair from the tails of 3 horses in a field in Lamp Lane, Arley.

Inc 318 of 7/9/15
Sometime between 1300 4/9/15 and 1700 7/9/15, a wooden single axle Richardson trailer has been stolen from a rural property on Yarningale Common, Warwick.

If you saw anything or have any information that could help the Police with their enquiries please call 101 and quote incident number 318 of 7/9/15.

Horse Watch Message from Warks for your info

Please be aware of the following incident:

Sometime during the night of 21/9/15 and 22/9/15, two combo rugs have been stolen off horses in a field in Ashorne. The rugs are described as 'as new', and are navy blue with the Rambo label on, one may have grey hairs on the inside. No further identification markings are on the rugs.

Rural Watch and Horse Watch Bulletin – 29 October 2015

Incident 280 of 25 October- Long Itchington/ Bascote
Refers to a suspicious incident where a member of a livery yard saw a vehicle at the end of a farm drive. Two elderly females were near the vehicle trying to call a black and white cob horse over to them. When questioned what they were doing they stated that they were looking at the horse.

Incident 253 - 24 October - Long Itchington/ Bascote
Refers to a similar incident where two elderly females were seen tying a bow to a fence post. A black and white cob was found to have its mane plaited.
It is not known what vehicle the two females were in, please could I ask you to be vigilant and report any suspicious incidents, to Police, on 101

During the night of 10 into 11 November, offenders broke the locks of stables at a farm premises in Ullenhall and entered the building to steal a quantity of horse rugs and tack.
