RW & HW Incidents at farmpremises in Earlswood, Wootton Wawen and Upper Tysoe

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farm premises across Warwickshire over recent days:

Incident 179 of 8 October
On the evening of Friday 3 October, offenders cropped the lock off a gate at a farm premises in Earlswood. The offenders then broke into an outbuilding, used for storage, and stole compressors, socket sets, DeWalt drills, batery drills, a diesel generator, a welder and many other tools.

Incident 286 of 9 October
During the night of 8 into 9 October, offenders entered a field off Gorse Lane, Wootton Wawen and cut the lock and chain off a horsebox. The horsebox was then stolen.

Incident 234 of 8 October
At some point before 4.30pm on 8 October, offenders entered a farm premises in Upper Tysoe and stole a large quantity of heating oil from a storage tank.

Incident 169 of 8 October
During the night of 7 into 8 October, offenders entered another farm premises in Upper Tysoe and stole a quantity of heating oil from a tank which was hidden by a hedge.

Rural & Horsewatch Bulletin – 14 October 2014

Please be aware of the following incidents which have occurred across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident number 210 of 13 October – Warton
Between 21 September and 13 October, offenders stole a Sterling Europa 650.off white, twin axle caravan from a farm premises in Kisses Barn Lane, Warton.

Incident 138 of 12 October – Priors Hardwick
Between 4 and 5pm on 10 October, offenders removed and stole a Honda petrol water pump from a canal side farm in Priors Hardwick, Rugby.

Incident 138 of 12 October – Meriden
At some point before 12.20pm on 12 October, offenders cut the padlock off secure gates at a farm premises in Kinwalsey Lane, Meriden and entered the yard. The offenders then cut a padlock off an outbuilding and stole a Honda petrol lawnmower, blue quad bike and a large cabinet containing a large quantity of power tools and hand tools.

Incident 215 of 10 October – Upper Tysoe
Between 1pm on 4 and 2.30pm on 10 October, offenders stole a large quantity of heating oil from a tank in the garden of a farm premises in Upper Tysoe, Warwick.

Rural & Horsewatch Bulletin – 17 October 2014

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at rural and farm premises across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident 189 of 14 October – Stretton on Dunsmore
During the night of 13 into 14 October, offenders cut down several boundary conifer trees at a rural business premises in London Road, Stretton on Dunsmore and then reversed a vehicle in to the yard. The vehicle was then loaded with a large and small rolls of wire, used copper pipe and a filing cabinet. The offenders then made off the way then had come.

Incident 162 of 15 October - Warton
At 9pm on 7 October, three male offenders entered a farm premises in Kisses Barn Lane, Warton and stole various items of equipment from a decommissioned fire engine.

Incident 114 of 15 October – Ansley
Between 7 and 1.15pm on 14 October, a male offender entered the yard of a business premises in Birmingham Road, Ansley, carrying a number of containers. The offender then approached a Leyland Daf truck and syphoned diesel from the fuel tank. The offenders is described a white with a shaven head. he was wearing a blue top and jeans.

Incident 196 of 16 October – Kineton
Between 8am and 1.30pm on 16 October, offenders entered a farm premises in Stratford Road, Kineton and approached an old lorry, used for storage.

The offender then entered the lorry and stole a DeWalt jigsaw, 2 DeWalt drills, 2 DeWalt screw drivers, a Paslode stapler and a Paslode nail gun with gases and chargers.

Incident 36 of 16 October – Studley
During the night of 15 into 16 October, offenders stole double 8-10ft wide, wooden gates from a rural premise in Clarkes Green, Studley.

Incident 63 of 16 October – Danzey Green
During the night of 15 into 16 October, offenders stole a quantity of heating oil from a tank in the garden of a rural home in Danzey Green, Tanworth in Arden. This is the second theft from the same premises in one week.

Incident 109 of 16 October – Earlswood
At around 8.15pm on 15 October, an offender forced open the electric gates of a farm premises in Poolhead Lane, Earlswood and then entered the premises. The offender had a good look around before making off with a trailer.

Incident 111 of 15 October – Wootton Wawen
The owner of a horse kept at a stables yard in Salter’s Lane, Wootton Wawen has reported that her horse had received a gash to its neck. The vet was called and said that he suspected that the gash had been made with a blade. There is no barbed wire at the premises so it is unclear how the horse received the injury.

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural premises in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire over recent days:

Incident 258 of 17 October - Lapworth
Between 11.30am and 4.45pm on 17 October, offenders attempted to smash glass panels on either side of the door at a farmhouse in Chessetts Wood Road, Lapworth. The offenders failed to completely smash the glass and to get inside the house. Nothing was stolen.

Incident 58 of 21 October - Corley
During last night, 20 into 21 October, offenders broke into an office at a stables premise in Corley and stole a quantity of cash.

Incident 142 of 20 October - Charlecote
Between 3 and 6 October, offenders entered a workshop at a farm premises in Charlecote, Warwick and stole a chainsaw.

Incident 429 of 21 October – Whateley, Tamworth
At 11.15pm on 21 October, 3 offenders used bodily force and crowbars to break into an integral garage at a farmhouse in Whateley, Tamworth. Once inside the garage, the offenders stole 2 unregistered KTM motorcycles.

Rural and Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 3 November 2014

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural businesses across Warwickshire and West Mercia over recent days:

Incident 172 of 28 October – Fillongley
During the night of 27 into 28 October, offenders stole a Victorian metal water carrier 2ft 6in high and 4ft long from the secure yard of a farm premises in Fillongley.

Incident 379 of 22 October – Marston Doles
Between 20.15hrs and 23.36hrs on Wednesday 22nd October 2014 an Ifor Williams trailer was stolen from an address near Marston Doles. The trailer did not have any registration plates attached to it, it is described as having mesh sides.

Incident 114 of 25 October – Arley
Between 21 and 24 October, offenders entered the rear garden of a rural cottage home in Ansley Lane, Arley and stole a 4ft x 3ft metal and wooden trailer.

Incident 27 of 10 October – Alcester Heath
Between 26 and 26 October, offenders stole diesel from the yard of a disused rural business premises in Alcester Heath, Alcester.

Incident 260 of 12 October – Outhill
Between 9.45am on 20 and 4.15pm on 24 October, offenders entered the rear garden of a rural home in Hardwick Lane, Outhill and broke into an outbuilding. Once inside, the offenders stole gardening power tools.

Incident 292 of 22 October – Hill Wootton
Between 6pm on 20 and 6pm on 22 October, offenders entered a secure shed in the rear garden of a farm premises in Hill Wootton, Warwick. The offenders removed hinges from the shed door and then stole a Stihl pressure washer from inside.

Incident 379 of 22 October – Priors Marston
Between 8.15 and 11.30pm last night, 22 October, offenders stole a metal Ifor Williams trailer from a farm premises in Priors Marston, Rugby.

Incident 335 of 1 November – Brinklow
Between 21 and 28 October, offenders stole 4 shotguns from a locked gun cabinet at a farm premises in Brinklow.

Incident 290 of 1 November – Galley Common
Between 12noon on 25 October and 10am on 27 October, offenders stole a large quantity of red diesel from a storage tank at a farm premises in Galley Common.

Rural Watch & Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 7 November 2014

Incident 292 of 22 October: Hill Wootton
Between 6pm on 20 and 6pm on 22 October, offenders entered a secure shed in the rear garden of a farm premises in Hill Wootton, Warwick. The offenders removed hinges from the shed door and then stole a Stihl pressure washer from inside.

Incident 379 of 22 October: Priors Marston
Between 8.15 and 11.30pm last night, 22 October, offenders stole a metal Ifor Williams trailer from a farm premises in Priors Marston, Rugby.

Incident 323 of 6 November – Rowington
At just after 4pm yesterday afternoon, 6 November, a white Ford Transit van, with a registration beginning AY, drove up the driveway of a farm premises in Rowington. The resident of the farm went out to investigate and the male driver stated that he was there to look at their quad. The residents of the farm do not have a quad bike for sale and have reported this activity as suspicious.

Warwickshire Police need your help to prevent and detect rural crimes - message from Sgt Bob Shaw:
Police are requesting help in detecting the rural crimes described below as well as urging our rural communities to take steps to avoid them being victims of similar crimes.
Overnight 03-04/11/2014 there were two rural Burglary Other offences that are believed to be linked due to location, both occurring sometime overnight: - Firstly a farm close to Priors Hardwick was attacked. Offenders have driven across fields to access farm buildings and removed red diesel and chain saws.

The second offence was at a farm in Napton where offenders have entered secure farmyard and removed a stock trailer by cutting a fence and dragging it through. A dog started barking at 02:00hrs so that may well have been the time of the offence.

A suspicious incident at 1115pm on the 3rd November, may be connected relates to two suspicious vehicles driving up a dead end lane in Priors Marston and turning around quickly when they realised someone was behind them. The first vehicle was described as a blue pick-up, possibly a Mazda. No description given of the second vehicle. If anyone has any information that may help us in our investigation of these crimes please call 101 and quote the following. Inc 48 04/11/2014, Inc 52 04/11/2014 and Inc 385 03/11/2014

Sometime overnight the same night an offence occurred at a farm in Billesley where offenders gained access to outbuildings and stole chain saws, a pillar drill and a welder. Incident 58 of the 4th November refers. Again if you can help with our investigation, please call 101.

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident 86 of 13 November – Coughton
During the night of 12 into 13 November, offenders broke into a shed at a farm premises in Coughton and entered the premises. Once inside, the offenders stole a large metal tool chest, along with a pink, white and grey ladies Carrera vengeance mountain bike and a yellow gents Carrera mountain bike.

Incident 67 of 12 November – Salford Priors
During the night of 11 into 12 November, offenders broke into a rural business premises in School Road, Salford Priors, via a shutter door at the rear. Once inside, the offenders stole a laptop computer, a PC and a screen projector.

Incident 92 of 12 November – Ryton on Dunsmore
During the night of 11 into 12 November, offenders forced open a stable at a rural premise in Oxford Road, Ryton on Dunsmore. Once inside, the offenders carried out a tidy search before making off with a staple gun.

Incident 421 of 7 November – Sutton Coldfield
Between 7.30 and 10pm on Friday 7 November, offenders stole a Range Rover Sport vehicle from a farm premises in Sutton Coldfield.

Rural & Horsewatch Bulletin – 19 November 2014

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural premises across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident 192 of 13 November – Atherstone
At some point before 3pm on 13 November, offenders open the insecure doors of a Mercedes van parked at a farm premises in Nuneaton Road, Atherstone and stole items of gardening equipment.

Incident 181 of 17 November – Exhall
At some point over the last 2 months, offenders entered a field off Coventry Road, Exhall and stole an orange Land Mec 390 hay turner.

Incident 245 of 14 November – Ansley
Between 11.30am and 2pm on 14 November, offenders stole a dark burgundy coloured horse box, which was secured to a Nissan vehicle and parked at a lay-by opposite Hoar Park Farm, Ansley. The box has swinging back doors, painted black mudguards, a silver chassis arm and is painted white inside.

Incident 285 of 18 November – Clifton upon Dunsmore
During the weekend of 14 to 17 November, offenders stole a caravan from the rear of outbuildings at a farm premises in Clifton upon Dunsmore. The caravan had an internal alarm and was secured with a hitch lock and a wheel lock.

Rural & Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 2 December 2014

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural premises across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident 135 of 23 November – Meriden
Between 1pm on 22 and 11am on 23 November, offenders entered the driveway of a farm premises in Kinwalsey lane, Meriden and then entered a DAF truck after punching out the door lock. The offenders then forced open the rear door of the truck and stole various items of property from inside

Incident 90 of 23 November – Stretton Under Fosse
During the night of 22 into 23 November, offenders broke a pane of glass in the window of a farm shop in Main Street, Stretton Under Fosse and then entered the premises. Once inside, the offenders tried to steal the till but left the premises empty handed.

Incident 177 of 22 November – Weston Under Wetherley
At around 12,30pm on 22 November, offenders stole 20 folding chairs from a church in Rugby Road, Weston Under Wetherley. A blue Citroen vehicle is believed to be connected to the incident.

Incident 67 of 26 November – Newton Regis
During the night of 25 into 26 November, offenders stole the chain from a gate in a field in Austrey Lane, Newton Regis.

Incident 61 of 25 November – Corley
Between 2.30 and 9am on 25 November, offenders stole an unregistered John Deere 4x4 Gator (similar to a 4x4 golf buggy) from the rear yard of The Bull & Butcher pub in Common Lane, Corley.

Incident 64 of 25 November – Kineton
During the night of 24 into 25 November, offenders stole a Petz Podz (used to house chickens and hens) from a rural business premises in Stratford Road, Kineton. The offenders moved the birds to another pod in order to steal the item.

Incident 113 of 30 November – Arley
During the night of 29 into 30 November, offenders broke into a container, situated in a field off Station Road, Arley. Once inside, the offenders stole several items.

Incident 103 of 1 December – Bidford on Avon
Between 9pm on 29 November and 7am on 1 December, offenders smashed the door of rural premises in Cleeve Road, Marcliff and stole a compressor and a welder.

Incident 178 of 28 November – Aston Cantlow
Between 9am on 23 and 1pm on 27 November, offenders forced their way into a stable like shed at the rear of a farm premises in Aston Cantlow. The offenders forced the padlock off the door before stealing a Torro ride on lawnmower and a Stihl strimmer from inside.

Incident 178 of 28 November – Pillerton Hersey
During the morning of 28 November, a male called at a farm premises in Pillerton Hersey, saying that he had come off the road in his car and asked if he could use a mobile phone. The male was covered in mud and the residents of the farm thought his behaviour suspicious.

Incident 253 of 30 November – Tysoe
At around 11am on 27 November, the resident of a rural home in Sandpits Road, Tysoe saw a male on her driveway. A neighbour reported that he was looking to read the electricity meters but the meters are not outside and therefore, they considered his behaviour to be suspicious.

Incident 229 of 29 November – Brailes
During the afternoon of 29 November, a witness has reported that males who were offering to sell chain saws from the rear of their Euro Hire white Citroen Berlingo van stopped him on the road between Brailes and Tysoe.

Incident 217 of 29 November – Lower Brailes
On the same afternoon a witness reported several males, with Irish accents, called at his home in Lower Brailes and tried to sell him a generator from the rear of their van. The males left the premises and headed towards Winderton.

Incident 185 of 1 December – Hockley Heath
Between 23 and 29 November, offenders entered an insecure barn at rural premises in Nuthurst Lane, Hockley Heath and stole various items of property.

NHW SA Burglaries at homes in Hathaway Lane and Banbury Road, Stratford

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at homes in Stratford over recent days:

Incident 92 of 14 December - During the night of 13 into 14 December, offenders entered a home in Hathaway Lane, through an insecure rear door. Once inside, the offenders stole two laptop computers, an IPod and an IPad.

Incident 69 of 17 December - During the night of 16 into 17 December, offenders entered a home in Banbury Road, Stratford through an insecure rear door and stole 2 handbags, containing a purse and a mobile phone.

Please ensure that you lock and secure your windows and doors when they are not in use, to prevent yourself becoming the victim of an opportunist thief.

If you have information that you believe may be connected to either of these incidents, please contact Police on 101, quoting the incident number given. Thank you.

Rural Watch & Horsewatch Crime Alerts Bulletin - 18 December 2014

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at rural premises, across Warwickshire, and other counties, over recent days:

Incident 91 of 17 December - Pailton
During the night, 16 into 17 December, offenders cut through 6ft high deer fencing at a farm premises in Pailton. The offenders then shot a deer in the field and dragged it through the fence before gutting it at the side of the road and taking the carcass.

Incident 72 of 17 December - Willoughby
During the night 16 into 17 December, offenders broke into a cabin style building in a field near Willoughby, by smashing the locks off the door. Once inside, the offenders carried out a thorough search before making off with several Tudor costume hats.

Incident 128 of 15 December - Corley
Between midnight and 5am on 15 December, offenders removed the fuel caps from two artics parked at a farm premises in Corley and then syphoned a large quantity of fuel from both of them.

Incident 244 of 10 December - Priors Marston
On 10 December, three sheep in the area of Hellidon Road, Priors Marston were attacked. The sheep had their faces bitten and the lower lip ripped off on all three sheep, sadly two had to be put to sleep as a result of the attack. It is thought a dog has caused the injuries. Are you aware of any stray dogs in the area?
