Rural and Horsewatch Bulletin – 7 January 2015

Happy New Year

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms, rural homes and rural businesses over recent days:

Incident 120 of 6 January - Exhall, Alcester
Between midnight and 11am on 6 January, offenders stole a quad bike from the yard of a farm premises in Exhall, near Alcester. The quad bike was later discovered, abandoned in a nearby field, with ignition damage. The offenders had cut through a hedge to access the field.

Incident 147 of 6 January - Warmington At some point before 1.30pm on 6 January, offenders stole a large quantity of heating oil from a storage tank at a rural home in Warmington, Banbury.

Incident 170 of 29 December - Long Lawford
At some point before 3pm on 19 December, offenders jemmied open the doors of two caravans, stored in the yard of a farm premises in Bilton Lane, Long Lawford. The offenders stole a television and other items before making off.

Incident 113 of 24 December - Wixford
During the night of 23 into 24 December, offenders entered a locked wooden shed at the end of a driveway at a home in Wixford, Alcester. Once inside, the offenders stole two male French ducks

Burglary - Leintwardine
Between midday 28 Dec and midday 29 Dec unknown persons have entered an isolated secure farm building on the A4110 in the Leintwardine area. Although nothing was taken, the offender(s) have damaged the padlock in order to access the building. OIS Incident 335S291214

Theft – Clifton-on-Teme
Between 5pm 29 Dec and 10am 30 Dec a heavy duty Karcher pressure washer has been stolen from an isolated rural farm outbuilding in the Clifton-on-Teme area. OIS Incident 139S 301214

Rural Watch & Horsewatch Bulletin – 12 January 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural businesses, across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident number 143 of 8 January - Lighthorne
During the night of 4 into 5 January, offenders entered an insecure outbuilding at a farm premises in Lighthorne, Warwick and stole a white and grey, 5.5kw air blower. The offenders also forced the lock off a metal gate at the farm, damaged fences and stolen an electric fencing battery.

Incident Number 144 of 11 January - Kineton
During the night of 10 into 11 January, offenders forced the metal sheets from the sides of 3 outbuildings at a nursery premises in Little Kineton and then entered the buildings to steal a large quantity of chemicals. The chemicals included insecticides, pesticides and other harmful substances. The offenders also made off with a Honda quad bike, a bird scarer and several gas cylinders.

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural businesses across Warwickshire and West Mercia over recent days:

Incident 32 of 13 January - Bedworth:
During the night of 12 into 13 January, offenders stole a large quantity of diesel from the tanks of several vehicles parked at a rural business premises in Astley Lane, Bedworth.

Incident 69 of 14 January - Honington:
During the night of 13 into 14 January, offenders stole a Honda quad bike which was chained up under an open fronted porch at a rural home in Honington, Shipston on Stour, after removing the padlock and chain.

Incident 144 of 13 January - Lapworth:
Between 1pm on 3 and 1pm on 9 January, offenders entered the insecure rear garden of a home in Lapworth Street, Lapworth and stole a quantity of heating oil from an insecure storage tank.

Incident 172 of 15 January - Charlecote:
Between 13 and 15 January, offenders stole the battery unit and 12v battery from electric fencing in the field of a farm premises in Charlecote, Warwick.

Rural Watch & Horse Watch Bulletin – 6 February 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural business across Warwickshire and surrounding counties over recent days:

Incident 239 of 23 January - Wolvey
At around 4.30pm on Friday 23 January, 2 offenders in a blue Ford Mondeo van smashed the window of a VW Transporter van parked at a farm premises in Wolvey and stole several power tools from inside.

Incident 132 of 25 January - Fillongley
During the night of 24 into 25 January, offenders climbed over a locked gate at the side of a rural business in Fillongley and then smashed open the locked timber door of a poultry house.

Once inside, the offenders walked through the birds, causing some of them to die from smothering. The offenders then smashed open two cupboards before making off with several items.

Incident 102 of 24 January - Shilton
During the night of 23 into 24 January, offenders broke into a barn at a farm premises in Shilton. The offenders peeled back the aluminium sides of the barn before entering the premises to steal a hedge trimmer and a strimmer along with a radio.

Incidents 250 & 302 of 21 January - Claverdon
During the night of 20 into 21 January, offenders entered stables at a rural premises in Claverdon, through a hole in the roof. Once inside, the offenders stole a saddle, a bridle, a bit, and a battery. The offenders also made three holes in the corrugated roof of barn at the premises and then entered the barn. Nothing is believed to have been stolen.

Incident 98 of 27 January - Lea Marston
During the night of 26 into 27 January, offenders broke into steel containers at a farm premises in Lea Marston. The containers are located in a field and the offenders levered off the window shutters and smashed the window. Once inside, the offenders stole several bows and arrows, air rifles and air pistols.

Incident 71 of 30 January - Corley
During the night of 29 into 30 January, offenders broke into an office at a farm premises in Co Corley and stole several items.

Incident 47 of 30 January - Barnacle
During the night of 29 into 30 January, offenders broke into the yard of a farm premises in Barnacle and stole diesel from a tractor. The offenders also broke into a portacabin and stole items.

Incident 181 of 28 January - Budbrooke, Warwick
Between 9.30am and 3pm on 2 February, offenders stole vehicle and tractor batteries from around a farm premises in Budbrooke, Warwick. An electric fencing battery was also stolen.

Incident 143 of 2 February - Corley
Between 26 January and 2 February, offenders stole the external spare wheel from a Toyota vehicle parked at a farm premises in Corley.

Incident 35 of 2 February - Bishops Itchington
During the night of 1 into 2 February, offenders broke in to several containers at a farm premises in Bishops Itchington. A large quantity of tyres were stolen and damage was caused to the containers.

Incident 53 of 4 February - Shuttington
During the night of 3 into 4 February, offenders broke into a coffee shop at a rural business premises in Shuttington , via the rear door. Once inside, the offenders stole several items.

Incident 180 of 5 February - Seckington
During the night of 4 into 5 February, offenders removed the padlock from the chain on a gate leading to an old barn, at a farm premises in Seckington and entered the building. Once inside, the offenders snooped around but nothing was stolen.

Incident 240 of 5 February - Austrey
Between 14 and 16 January, offenders stole heating oil from a tank at the rear of a farm premises in Austrey.

Incident 260 of 4 February - Offchurch
Between 4pm on 29 January and 8am on 2 February, offenders entered the yard of a rural business premises in Offchurch. They then stole several Forklift/ JCB tyres.

Incident 86 of 5 February - Shottery
Between midday on 2 and 1pm on 4 February, offenders stole 5 ducks from a shed at an allotment premises in Church Lane, Shottery. The ducks were 3 black and white Running Ducks and 2 brown khaki Campbells.

RW & HW Rural Watch & Horse Watch Bulletin - 9 March 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural premises across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident 203 of 3 March - Meriden
At some point before 3.20pm on 3 March, offenders entered the insecure yard of a rural business premises in Packington Lane, Meriden and siphoned a large quantity of diesel from 2 plant machines. No damage was caused to the machinery.

Incident 63 of 4 March - Studley
During the night of 3 into 4 March, offenders broke into a shop at a nurseries business near Studley after smashing the glass in a door. Once inside, the offenders carried out a search but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Incident 156 of 6 March - Middleton
At some point before 2pm on 6 March, offenders gained access to removed lakes at a rural premises in Middleton, after travelling over adjacent fields, and stole 3 wheels and tyres from an exhibition trailer.

Incident 255 of 8 March - Barby, Rugby
Between 1 February and 6 March, offenders stole a large quantity of heating oil from a tank at a farm premises in Barby, Rugby.

Incident 224 of 7 March - Kenilworth
Between 14 February and 7 March, offenders broke into a caravan at a farm premises in Kenilworth. Extensive damage was caused to the door of the caravan and a messy search was carried out, but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Incident 255 of 7 March - Ilmington, Shipston
At some point before 4.45pm on 7 March, offenders stole a horse trailer, which was attached to a vehicle parked in a lay-by on Ilmington Road, Ilmington.

Incident 281 of 7 March - Aston Cantlow
Between 4 and 7 March, offenders stole a Brinksman Smoker from the garden of a farm premises in Aston Cantlow. The smoker is about 6ft long, 5ft tall and weighs about 80 kilos.

RW & HW Incidents at rural premises in Bishopton, Stratford & Bodymoor Heath, Sutton Coldfield

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms in your area over recent days:

Incident 42 of 10 March: Between 3.30pm on 9 and 8.30am on 10 March, offenders stole batteries and copper cable fron the secure yard of a waste recycling centre in Bishopton, Stratford upon Avon.

Incidcent 111 of 11 March: Between 9 and 110pm on 10 March, an intruder alarm was activated in a brick toolstore of a childrens farm in Bodymoor Heath. The offenders has smashed the padlock off the door and entered the store before carrying out a search. it is not clear if anything was stolen.

Rural Watch & Horse Watch Bulletin – 20 March 2015

Please be aware of the following items, which have occurred at farms and rural premises across Warwickshire and neighbouring counties over recent days:

Incident 28 of 18 March – Atherstone
At some point before 2.40am on 18 March, the resident of a home in Merevale Lane, Atherstone returned home from work and heard an offender run off from his property. The resident checked the property and found the rear door of the house had been forced open. The glass had also been removed from a window. The offender had stolen a large number of keys, including keys for three vehicles.

Incident 53 of 19 March – Mancetter
During the night of 18 into 19 March, offenders stole an Ifor Williams trailer from a field adjacent to the courtyard of a farm premises in Mancetter. The offenders are believed to have approached the property across fields and made off the same way.

Incident 49 of 17 March – Atherstone
During the night of 16 into 17 March, offenders smashed the locks off the main gates of allotments in Holly Lane, Atherstone and then entered the site. The offenders then opened chicken pens and sorted through the birds to steal 6 pairs of Shamos chickens.

Incident 86 of 17 March – Shottery
Between 4pm on 12 March and 8am on 17 March, offenders broke into two wooden stables at the rear of a farm premises in Shottery. The offenders removed padlocks form the doors and then stole a strimmer from inside.

Incident 154 of 19 March – Norton Lindsay
During the night of 18 into 19 March, offenders stole tools from inside an open fronted barn at a rural home in Norton Lindsay. The stolen items include an angle grinder and a pressure washer.

Rural Watch and Horse Watch Bulletin – 7 April 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural premises across Warwickshire over recent days:

Incident 104 of 2 April - Ashorne, Warwick
At some point between 10.30am and midday on 2 April, an offender entered a farm house in Ashorne, Warwick, through an insecure rear door and stole the keys to a vehicle, from a kitchen worktop. The offenders then used the keys to drive the vehicle away.
Incident 65 of 31 March - Gaydon
Between 28 and 31 March, offenders entered two secure lorries parked in the yard of a farm premises in Gaydon. They then prised off the fuel caps and siphoned off a large quantity of diesel.

Incident 219 of 1 April - Guys Cliffe, Warwick
Between 27 March and 1 April, offenders entered some secure stables at a rural home in Woodloes Lane, Guys Cliffe, Warwick. The offenders are believed to have accessed the stables from the roof, causing damage. Once inside, the offenders stole several power tools.

Incident 343 of 2 April - Bulkington, Bedworth
At some point before 8.20pm on 2 April, offenders stole 2 white rams from a secure field at a farm premises in Shilton Lane, Bulkington. There was no damage to the fencing around the field.

Incident 132 of 5 April - Coventry
During the night of 4 into 5 April, offenders stole 12 chickens and 1 American fantail turkey from a farm premises in Newland Lane, Coventry. The offenders are believed to have climbed over and flattened the wire surrounding the pen.

Incident 51 of 6 April - Barnacle
At just before 3am on 6 April, the resident of a farm premises in Barnacle reported that offenders were on the farm and attempting to steal diesel. Police attended the scene but the offenders had fled.

Incident 46 of 7 April - Bishops Itchington
During the night of 6 into 7 April, offenders broke into barns at a farm premises in Bishops Itchington. It is not yet clear exactly what was stolen.

Please be aware that between 2.30 and 7.30pm on 5 April, offenders kicked open the door of a home in Leam Terrace, Leamington and entered the house. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Please be aware of the following incidents which have occurred at rural premises in Warwickshire over recent days:

Alerts from Warwickshire Police:

Incident 339 of 7 April: Between 6pm on 5 and 4pm on 7 April, offenders removed the padlocks from the doors of two outbuildings at a farm premises in Bishops Itchington and entered the buildings. Once inside, the offenders stole a leaf blower, a professional strimmer and a chain saw.

Incident 126 of 7 April: Around Monday 9 March, an offender trespassed on to a rural business premises in Whatcote and entered a workshop. Once inside, the offender stole a chainsaw, which was hidden away and a 5 litre gerry can full of unleaded petrol.

Rural Watch & Horse Watch Crime Alerts Bulletin – 14 April 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural businesses across Warwickshire over recent days:

Incident 124 of 8 April - Hillmorton, Rugby
During the night of 7 into 8 April, offenders removed the gate and 2 metal fences from the driveway of a farm premises in Hillmorton, Rugby, and then entered the premises. The offenders then smashed the hitch lock off a galvanised metal Ifor Williams trailer and stole it.

Incident 41 of 9 April - Bourton on Dunsmore, Rugby
During the night of 8 into 9 April, offenders stole a large fibre glass septic tank, measuring 5ft x 7ft from a barn conversion site in Bourton on Dunsmore, Rugby.

Incident 112 of 12 April - Mancetter
Between 3 and 5pm on Saturday 11 April, offenders entered the secure compound of a rural business in Quarry Lane, Mancetter, and stole a JCB mini digger and buckets.

Incident 55 of 13 April - Bodymoor Heath
During the night of 12 int 13 April, offenders punched the door lock and tailgate lock of a pick up vehicle parked at a farm premises in Bodymoor Heath and then entered the vehicle. The offenders carried out a search and moved items but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Incident 22 of 13 April - Atherstone
During the night of 12 into 13 April, offenders stole a trailer and mini digger from a farm premises in Quarry Lane, Atherstone.

Incident 33 of 14 April – Mancetter
During last night, 13 into 14 April, offenders stole a 15ft galvanised gate from between 2 fields at a farm premises in Mancetter. Damage was also caused to railway sleepers and a footpath.

Incident 132 of 11 April - Ansley, Nuneaton
During the night of 10 into 11 April, offenders cropped the padlock off a gate at a farm premises in Ansley, Nuneaton and then entered the main yard.
The offenders then entered an isolated open fronted barn and stole 3 pigs.

Incident 300 of 12 April - Ansley, Nuneaton
At some point before 8.30pm on 12 April, offenders entered the yard of a rural business premises in Ansley, Nuneaton through secure gates. They then entered an insecure outbuilding and stole a large quantity of horse tack including, a saddle, 2 bridles and attachments, 4 saddle cloths, 2 head collars and leads, stirrup leathers, 2 stirrups and some training equipment.

Incident 74 of 13 April - Newbold, Rugby
At some point before 10.25am on 13 April, offenders stole a 3 metre length of copper earth wire from an electricity pole in the field of a farm premises in Newbold.

Incident 102 of 12 April - Ettington
During the night of 11 into 12 April, offenders climbed through hedges and over fencing to enter the yard of a farm premises in Ettington. The offenders then entered a barn and carried out a search. It is not yet clear if anything was stolen.

NHW NW Burglary at home in Birchley Heath INC 369 of 10 April
Please be aware that between 4.50 and 7.30pm on Friday 10 April, offenders prised open a secure side door at a home in Birchley Heath and then entered the premises.
Once inside, the offenders carried out an untidy search before making off with a jewellery box, and its contents, from a bedroom.

Rural Watch & Horse Watch Bulletin – 23 April 2015

Please be aware of the following incidents, which have occurred at farms and rural homes across Warwickshire over recent days:

Incident 218 of 15 April - Bidford on Avon
Between 1 December 2014 and 15 April 2015, offenders removed 34 fattening lambs from farmland off Georges Elm Lane, Bidford on Avon.

Incident 181 of 21 April - Harbury, Leamington
At some point before 2.40pm on 21 April, offenders stole an electric shepherd energiser fence unit from a field containing horses at a farm premises in Ring Farm Road, Harbury.

Incident 28 of 19 April - Dordon
During the night of 18 into 19 April, offenders stole ironstone-edging rocks from the front of a rural home in Dordon.

Incident 280 of 18 April - Curdworth
Between 5.45am on 15 and 2pm on 18 April, offenders forced padlocks off stables at a rural home in Curdworth and then entered the premises. It is not clear exactly what was stolen.

Incident 336 of 19 April - Ilmington
At around 10.30pm on 19 April, offenders attempted to get in to an agricultural workshop at a farm premises in Ilmington. The offenders quickly made off on foot once they were discovered and it is not clear if anything was stolen.

Incident 90 of 18 April - Combrook, Warwick
During the night of 17 into 18 April, offenders prised open the door of a garage at a rural home in Spring Lane, Combrook and entered the premises to steal a quad bike, a kids motorbike and a Kubota vehicle. These vehicles were found abandoned in a nearby field and the offenders made off, leaving open a gate, causing sheep to get out of their field.

RW &HW Incidents at rural premises in Nuneaton, Stoneleigh & Alcester

Please be aware of the following incidents which have occurred at rural premises in Warwickshire and Herefordshire over recent days:

Incident 133 of 23 April - Nuneaton
Between 7 and 11.15pm on 23 April, offenders travelled along a footpath to access the rear of a farm in Nuneaton and then entered an insecure milking parlour to steal a petrol pressure washer.

Incident 62 of 24 April - Stoneleigh
Between 10.30pm on 23 and 4am on 24 April, offenders smashed through a double bar gate at a large agricultural premises in Stoneleigh and stole 2 JCB's from the JCB stand area.

Incident 349 of 23 April - Dunnington, Alcester
During the night of 16 into 17 April, offenders siphoned off a large quantity of heating oil from a tank in the garden of a home in Dunnington, Alcester.
