Police received reports on Sunday, 14 December, of two dead horses at the King Forest, West Stow that appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds and burns. Police and the RSCPA are currently investigating the circumstances around the deaths of the horses.

Thefts Freckenham (Mildenhall IP28)

Police are appealing for information after buildings at two farms in Freckenham were broken into.

An electric fence energiser, heavy duty battery and a quantity of horse bits were stolen after several buildings at a farm near Badlingham Road were entered between 7pm and 9pm Wednesday 25 February.

A container at a farm near Elms Road was also broken into between 3pm Wednesday and 6am Thursday 26 February and the battery and charger for a field generator stolen from inside.

Police are linking these burglaries to a similar incident in Herringswell recently. If you have information relating to any of these incidents or noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles please contact Suffolk Police on 101 reference MH/15/324

Theft of Landrover and horse trailer Wickhambrook (Newmarket CB8)

Police are appealing for sightings of a Landrover, registration CP08 ORV, with a horse box trailer attached after the vehicle was stolen from a property at Farley Green, near Wickhambrook, overnight.

The blue Landrover Defender 90 with silver cover and rear wire door and the black and silver Ifor Williams trailer were taken between 10pm last night, Wednesday 25, and 5.25am this morning, Thursday 26 March.

Did you see the vehicle and trailer being taken, or did you see it being moved? Or did you notice any suspicious activity in the area between these times? Anyone with information about who took it or where it is now is asked to call police at Haverhill by dialling Suffolk Police on 101 and quoting crime number HH/15/689.

Theft of horse trailer Exning (Newmarket CB8)

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a black and silver Ifor Williams horse trailer from a property in Exning, near Newmarket in the early hours of Thursday 26th March.
Along with the trailer a quantity of plastic showjumping poles and bases and a Rambo horse rug were stolen

STOLEN WORKING DOGS

Location - Holten St Mary, Colchester, Suffolk CO7 ‎
2 bitches stolen from Holten St Mary at 9pm on Easter Sunday.
Ruby is a black working Cocker Spaniel - quite stocky with white blaze on her chest.
Skye is a liver and white working English Springer Spaniel, large in size. Mainly white body with symmetrical liver patches on her eyes and ears, and freckles on her nose.

Theft of electric fencing (Kessingland NR33)
Police are appealing for information following the theft of a quantity of electric fencing posts and tape from a horse paddock on a farm on London Road in Kessingland overnight on 19 / 20 April
Did you see the equipment being taken or did you notice any suspicious activity in the area between these times? Anyone with information about who took it or where it is now is asked to call police at Lowestoft by dialling Suffolk Police on 101 and quoting crime number LO/15/2087.

Burglary at stables (Bramford IP8)
Between 6.30pm and 9.30pm yesterday evening, Tuesday 21 April, a stable yard at Loraine Way in Bramford was broken into and a search made of several buildings. It appears nothing was stolen.

STOLEN SHOOT TRAILER
Location - Long Melford, Suffolk

Have you seen this unique shoot trailer? It has been stolen from a farm in Long Melford, Suffolk within the last week.
The trailer has high wooden sides, painted white at the back and also has a green metal gate on the back.

Theft of electric fencing (Chelmondiston IP9)

Three electric fence energisers were stolen from a field near Lings Lane, Chelmondiston sometime between 6am Monday 6th & 6pm Wednesday 8th July.

Burglary at stables (Thrandeston IP21)

A large quantity of horse equipment was stolen during a burglary at a farm in Thrandeston overnight Monday 13 July.
Between 7pm Monday 13 July and 7am Tuesday 14 July locks were cut from gates to a farm at Great Green, a tack room broken into and saddles, bridles, bits and other items of horse tack stolen. A John Deere tractor was also stolen from the farm yard.

Equestrian equipment and a trailer was also stolen in a separate incident during the same time-frame in the Stowmarket area, though further details cannot be reported as the victim has requested no publicity.

Damage to horse trailer (Kedington CB9)

A horse trailer was damaged during an attempted burglary at a farm in Kedington overnight Tuesday 14 July.
Between 5pm Tuesday 14 July and 1pm Wednesday 15 July a horse trailer was damaged by forcing a section of metal at the rear of the trailer in an attempt to look inside it. Nothing was appears to have stolen.

July 2015

Police are urging horse and yard owners to review the security of their property following the theft of equestrian equipment from two premises in Suffolk over the weekend 24 – 26 July. This follows the theft of a large quantity of horse equipment in the Mid Suffolk area overnight on 13/14 July

Burglary at stables (Carlton Colville NR33)

Over £12000 of equestrian equipment which included saddles, bridles, wheelbarrows, a fence energiser and clippers was stolen after a number of tack rooms at a yard in Carlton Colville were broken into between 9pm Friday 24 July and 6.30am Saturday 25 July.

Theft at stables (Newmarket CB8)

Five pallet loads of stable fronts - which included wooden stable doors on metal runners - were stolen from premises in Newmarket between 9pm Friday 24 July and 11am Saturday 25 July.

Theft from paddock (Sotterley NR34)

Overnight on 23/24 July two wheelbarrows and a muck rake and skip were stolen from a horse paddock in Lower Green, Sotterley

Theft from small holding (Sudbury CO10)

Overnight on 25/26 July offenders have made a forced entry to a horsebox on a small holding in Sudbury. Several bags of chicken feed and a quantity of cordless power drills stored in the vehicle were stolen.

Attempted theft of horse trailer (Barrow IP29)

Police are urging horse and yard owners to review the security of their property following the attempted theft of a horse trailer from a farm in Barrow at 10.30pm on Wednesday 5th August.

Offenders driving an 04 plate white transit type van removed the locks from the gates of a yard and attempted to tow the trailer away with its hitchlock still in position. The offenders abandoned the trailer in the road when they failed to succeed.

Theft of horse trailers (Stansfield CO10 and Chevington IP29)

Between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday 12 August damage was caused to fencing at Lower Street in Stansfield and a black Richardson Supreme horse trailer and orange Kubota G1260 ride-on mower stolen from a paddock.

Anyone with information about this theft or the whereabouts of the stolen mower and trailer is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 reference HH/15/2041

AND

Between 6pm Thursday 13 August and 9.30am Friday 14 August a yard near to the A143 at Chevington was broken into. A search was made of two storage containers and a green Rice double horse trailer and two yellow wheel clamps stolen.

Horse boxes broken in (Whepstead IP29)

Between 7pm on Tuesday 15th and 08.45 am on Wednesday 16th September two horse boxes were broken into on an equestrian yard in Whepstead. (south of Bury St Edmunds)
A number of tweed jackets were stolen from one of the vehicles, the other box had one of its doors levered open, entry was gained, but nothing stolen as the vehicle was empty.
