Police are appealing for the whereabouts of a horse and a pony reported stolen from a field in Snargate near Appledore.

The 17.2hh (hands high) bay coloured (brown with dark mane and tail) mare was taken with a 12.1 hh chestnut mare which had a white flash marking between the eyes last Tuesday (17 September 2013) at about 11pm.

Both animals been recently rescued and have been in poor health. The horse is described as being thin around her rear end.

It is believed that the horse and pony were loaded into a dark-brown horsebox which was driven off following a Mitsuibishi Shogun 4x4 vehicle towards Brenzett.
Can you help?

Anyone who knows where the horses are or has information should contact PC Justin Farrow at Kent Police on 101, giving reference ZY/27715/13 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
