Piebald Shetland mare, 9hh, 30+ years old

Post by Metallikazz »

I am searching for info on my old pony who was sadly pts in December last year.
Minnie was bought from a gypsy campsite in Bloxham, Oxfordshire, 13years ago. She had been neglected and abused, the man who sold her to me said she was 15 years old but she was clearly much older. When she died vet estimated her to be in her 40s but its possible that she was a bit older or younger. She was piebald with brown highlights in her mane and tail. The gypsies named her Patch, but I have no idea if she was ever registered or had another name prior to that.
She was very well schooled and much loved in the past before being abused as she excelled as a ridden, driven and showing pony.
She was very sweet and cheeky, brilliant with little kids.
She may have had a few foals in the past.
She was about 9hh.
