02 November: A message from ESSEX
For info, Just to make everyone aware there is a black ford ranger going round with 3 Travellers in it sniffing around horses and offering to sell cheap tack! They were at Tilty (Nr Dunmow) yesterday afternoon at 3pm and drove right up through the farm yard looking around, please spread the word and keep your horses and property safe.

Beds Police Ringmaster Message: A burglary took place at a farm in Eyeworth between 5:45 p.m. on the 27th and 6:00 a.m. on the 28th October. The offender has broken the door to a converted stable. An office has been searched and 2 mobile phones and 2 cash tins have been taken.

From a concerned horse-owner on 31 Oct 'A lady who keeps her horse in Wilden has just stopped on her way home to let me know that her Rug has been marked. This is a common practice, where they mark the rug and then come back later and steal the horse' This is an unfounded rumour as far as we are aware.

From a concerned person on 17th October: 3 horses tethered on Council land in Cardington. Reported to police (URN 56) and RSPCA. Photo's of horses taken.

Subject: Ringmaster - County - 15/11/11 A210 / Horse Watch - Maulden - criminal damage

This is a Ringmaster message from Bedfordshire Police. Please pass the details of this message, onto friends and neighbours.

Bedfordshire Police ask local residents to be vigilant, and to report anything suspicious, after Criminal Damage took place at a field in Clophill Road, in Maulden.

The offence took place between the 30th of October, and the 14th of November.

The offender has cut through the padlock securing the gate.

A vehicle has been driven onto the field, towards an industrial estate and around horses in the field.

It appears that no property or livestock have been damaged

17/11/11 Horse Watch - Sandy - theft
Bedfordshire Police ask rural businesses, and owners of livestock to be vigilant, after a theft took place from a field on the A 6 0 3, in Sandy.

The offence took place between 10:00 p.m. on the 15th and 1:30 p.m. on the 16th of November.

The offender has entered a field, and approached some shetland ponies.

Rugs have been taken from the ponies backs.

The ponies have not been harmed.

18/11/11 A099/Horse Watch - Moggerhanger Stables Burglary

Bedfordshire Police ask rural businesses, and owners of livestock to be vigilant.

A burglary took place at stables in Moggerhanger.

The offence took place between 5:30 p.m. on the 15th and 10:30 a.m. on the 17th of November.

The offender has gained access to the location and removed a wooden door from the hinges.

Onve inside the stables a search took place.

9 headcollars, 4 rugs and a number of garden tools have been taken.

I have just been on the Chiltern and Thames rider website and picked up this news,i thought i should share it here!!!
BREAK IN AT TC FEEDS & TACK HAVEN,KENSWORTH,BEDS.

During the night of Monday 21st November, there was a break in at TC Feeds, Kensworth, Beds. Two of their Saddle Fitting vans were broken into and around 50 saddles were stolen. The vans were parked in the car park on site.

Bedfordshire Police ask rural businesses, and owners of livestock to be vigilant, after a theft took place at a paddock in Stotfold.

The offence took place on Monday the 30th of January, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

The offender has climbed a fence to access the location.

Two rugs have been removed from horses in the field

The offender has gained access to the location, forcing the lock on a container.

An equestrian, Saddle and 4 Driving Harnesses, have been taken.

Stables Burglary - Stanbridge, near Leighton Buzzard

Crime Ref: JD/1161/2014
Overnight on the 9th to 10th January an offender has used unlocked gates to access the location. A horse box has been opened and entered. A number of unlocked outbuildings have been entered. A padlock has been forced from a barn. The building has been searched, but no property has been taken.

Stables Burglary – Warden Hill, Luton

Crime Ref: C/4224/2014
Overnight on 28th – 29th Feb offenders have forced entry to a feed room. Six bags of feed have been taken. A second building was also forced open but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Stables Burglary – Totternhoe, Nr Dunstable

Crime Ref: JD/5081/2014
Between 3rd – 10th Feb offenders have climbed a locked gate to access a yard. Horse feed has been taken from storage bins at the location.

Stable Burglary – Little Staughton

Crime Ref: JH/559/2014
Between 8th – 13th Feb offenders have forced locks to the stables and have damaged a garden mower and syphoned diesel.

STOLEN JOHN DEERE
Location - ‪Haynes‬ , Bedfordshire‬

A green and yellow John Deere tractor was stolen from West End Farm, Haynes overnight between Tuesday, March 24 and the following morning.

The offenders broke into the tractor and managed to start the engine, before making off through fields via a track to the rear of the farm.

The tractor has the registration KE07 NBA, engine number CD6068LO23089 and chassis number L07530G541879.

Anyone who believes they have seen these distinctive vehicles in use is urged to call the Bedfordshire Police non-emergency number 101, quoting the crime reference number JD/11488/2015.
