Burglaries

At some time on Sat/Sun 15-16 Nov, car keys were taken from a house in Church Road, Jackfield. Using the keys, a silver Vauxhall Corsa was stolen and later recovered in Ketley Bank, Telford. (OIS Incident ref 0279S 161114)

Between 2pm -8.30pm on Sat 15 Nov, a house in Talbot Close, Shifnal was broken into and searched. Jewellery was stolen. (OIS ref 0663S 151114)

Suspected Arson of Post Box
At 9pm on Mon 17 Nov, a fire in a freestanding post box opposite the Beehive in Curriers Lane, Shifnal, was reported. Arson was suspected. (OIS ref 0697S 171114)

Between Wed / Sun 19-23 November, while occupants were away, a property in Haughton Lane, Shifnal, was broken into and searched. The incident was reported by a neighbour. (OIS Incident ref: 0483S 231114)

Thefts

Overnight Tue/Wed 18-19 Nov, the energiser from an electric fence was stolen from a farm at Rowley, near Worfield. A similar offence had taken place overnight 10/11 Nov. (OIS ref: 0247S 191114).

Between Sat 15/Wed 19 November, eight incidents involving shoplifting in Brigdnorth town centre were reported to police. So far, three suspected offenders have been identified and one arrested. There were also incidents in High Street, Shifnal, and High Street, Albrighton, over the weekend.

Burglary (non dwelling)

Between Fri/Sun 21-23 Nov, a shed in the grounds of a social club in High Street, Broseley, was broken into. Hand tools and power tools were stolen. (OIS ref: 0588S 231114)

Thefts From Motor Vehicles

Between 6pm Sat / 1.15pm Sun 22-23 Nov, headlights were stolen from a Land Rover in St Mary’s Street, Bridgnorth . (OIS ref 0358S 231114). In Bridge Road, Much Wenlock, the lights on another Land Rover were attacked during the same night. (OIS Ref: 0186S 231114)

Other Vehicle Crime

Between 8am Sun/8am Mon 23-24 Nov, a car in a car park at the Old Smithfield, Bridgnorth, was broken into and the ignition damaged. (OIS ref: 0080S 241114)

Between 8-9am, Mon 24 Nov, a staff member’s car was broken into on school premises in Aston Lane, Claverley. (OIS ref 0108S 241114)

Burglaries in Highley

Between 1.30/5pm Tues 25 Nov, a garage attached to a property in High street, Highley, was broken into and a valuable, silver, Peugeot racing bike was taken. (OIS Incident ref: 0607s 251114)

Believed to be around 9pm on Tues 25 November, a property in Redstone Drive, Highley, was broken into and searched. A neighbouring property was also raided. (OIS ref: 0622s 251114).

For Telford and Wrekin

Burglary dwelling

At around 7.25pm on Saturday 22nd November persons unknown broke into the accommodation area of a public house located in Stafford Street, St Georges. The alarm was sounded which alerted the occupant who saw the intruder running off – who was seen wearing a balaclava and gloves, no other description could be given. It is not known if anything was taken. OIS no. 0596s221114.

During the early hours of Sunday 23rd November a property in Chockleys Meadow was targeted by burglars. A noise was heard at around 3am, although the burglars were possibly disturbed by the occupants who were awake during the night. Car keys were stolen, although the vehicles were not taken. An Xbox one and Xbox 360 plus a Samsung galaxy tablet were among things taken. Also a purse was stolen from a handbag. OIS no. 0172s231114.

At around 11pm on Sunday 23rd November a flat in King Street, Dawley was entered by thieves who intended to steal valuables from the property. However, they left empty handed as they were possibly scared off by two large dogs at the property. 0IS no. 0002s241114.

Between 2pm and 5pm on Monday 24th November a burglary occurred at Withington Close, Oakengates. An untidy search of the property took place. OIS no. 0459s241114.

Between 7.50pm and 9.45pm an attempted burglary took place at an address in Catherton, Stirchley. The front door was damaged although access was unlikely to have been gained as nothing was stolen. OIS no. 0705s241114.

Burglary other

Overnight between 4.30pm on Friday 21st November and 7.15am Saturday 22nd November a construction shed was broken into at a building site in Stafford Road, Newport. The metal shed had property stolen from within it; a blue/black stihl petrol saw and a pipe laser used in road marking were stolen. OIS no. 0145s221114.

At around 9pm on Sunday 23rd November a break in took place at a store in Priorslee Road, Snedshill. The occupant of a flat at the top of the shop alerted police. The alarm was sounded and there is CCTV at the premises. OIS no. 0618s231114.

Theft from vehicle

Between 4pm on Friday 21st November and 9am on Saturday 22nd the rear number plate was stolen from a vehicle located at Cleveland Close, Horsehay. OIS no. 0260s221114.

Between 6pm on Sunday 23rd November and 5.10am on Monday 24th November a compressor was stolen from a works pick up van which was parked on the driveway of a property in Lineton Close, Trench. Nothing was seen or heard. The compressor was a Yammar hose attachment complete with battery, and a value of around £1000. The compressor was bolted and strapped onto the vehicle. Sometime between the hours of 8pm on Sunday 23rd November and 6am on Monday 24th November a vehicle in Wantage, Woodside had the off side wing mirror rear casing removed and stolen. The middle section of the casing was also damaged. The car was parked on the driveway of the property. OIS no. 0297s241114.

Theft of vehicle

A red MG ZS was stolen from a garage located in Prince Street, Madeley between the hours of 8pm on Friday 21st November and 10.30am Sunday 23rd November. OIS no. 0438s231114.

At 11pm on Sunday 23rd November a black Jaguar S-type was stolen from Sixth Avenue, Ketley Bank. OIS no. 0680s231114.

For SOUTH SHROPSHIRE

Burglaries of Premises Other Than Dwellings

Overnight between Wed/Thurs 19-20 Nov, two sheds at premises in
Henley Road, Ludlow, were broken into and items taken. (OIS Incident ref 0098S 201114). Around 3am on Thurs 20 Nov, a shed in Gravel Hill, Ludlow was broken into (OIS ref 0053S 201114) and during the same night an ISO container at a construction site beside the A49 in Bromfield was broken into. Power tools including a Stihl saw, a wacker plate and a jack hammer were stolen.

A detached garage at farm premises in Stanton Lacy, Ludlow, was broken into and a Stihl chainsaw among items taken. The break-in was first noticed on Sat 22 Nov and reported to police on 26 November but the incident could have occurred during the previous fortnight. (OIS incident ref: 0142s 261114)

Theft From Motor Vehicles

Overnight between Thurs/Fri 20-21 Nov, a hatchery yard at Seifton, Craven Arms, was broken into and diesel stolen from three vehicles.

Suspected Vehicle Crime

Between 6pm Tues/11am Wed 25-26 Nov, a vehicle on a driveway in Ludlow Road, Church Stretton, was forced open. There has been no report of anything being stolen. (OIS ref 0184s 261114)

Burglary

Overnight between Sun/Mon 23-24 Nov, a house in Palmantmawr, Weston Rhyn, was broken into and searched. Cash was taken. (OIS Incident ref: 0713s 241114)

Thefts

Overnight between Mon/Tues 24-25 Nov, wrought iron gates were stolen from the end of a driveway in Bronygarth. (OIS ref: 0192s 251114).

Between midnight and 10am on Tues 25 Nov, a wood chipper was stolen from the farm area at a college on Whittington Road, Gobowen. (OIS ref: 0442s 251114)

Burglaries of Premises Other Than Dwellings

Overnight between Wed/Thurs 11-15 Jan, two outbuildings at a property near the bridge at Ashford Carbonell, Ludlow, were broken into. (OIS incident ref: 0097s 150115)

An outbuilding used as a tack room at Steventon, Ludlow, was broken into, possibly on Wed 14 Jan. Two chainsaws and a Makita drill were taken. (OIS ref: 0609s 150115).

Garden sheds at neighbouring properties in Keyston Gardens, Steventon New Roadwere broken into, one between 12-16 Jan and the other overnight between 15-16 Jan. Items were stolen from each including a Makita corded drill and drill bits, a Stihl strimmer and a black and green Analogue 2004 mountain bike. (OIS incident refs: 0334s and 0179s 160115)

Between 6-16 Jan a garage at a property in Stanton Road, Ludlow, was broken into. (OIS ref:0416s 160115)

Overnight between Thurs/Fri 15-16 Jan, a garden shed near Milson, Cleobury Mortimer, was broken into and petrol driven tools stolen, including a Kawasaki brush cutter, a Husqavana strimmer, a Stihl chainsaw, a hedge cutter and a leaf blower. (OIS ref: 0445s 160115)

IP keeps her horses in the field opposite Habberley Valley. Between the times stated person or persons unknown has come into the field via an unlocked gate,
they have entered the unlocked shed and stolen items from inside, the horses food was kept in two wheelie bins and they wheeled these over the field to the gate,
empting the food out of the one wheelie bin into the other one and taking the then full bin away with them and leaving the empty one behind at the side of the gate.
They have taken some bridle wear for the horses and stolen a blanket off the horse she has in the field.

Between times stated a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S was parked on the front driveway with the engine running when two males have approached the vehicle
and driven off in the direction of Birmingham. CCTV shows a black estate type vehicle in the location at the time of the offence where it appears the two offenders
have come from, therefore 3 offenders.

male 2 - passenger of vehicle - white, 40-45 years old, stocky build with belly, 6 ft 2, bald, dark jeans, dark trainers, black overcoat with collar up over bottom part of face.

male 3 - white, late teens early 20s, medium build, 6 ft tall, short brown hair, light trousers, bright purple jacket and Nike trainers with white strip.

Offender\s have then managed to move a large heavy dumper which has been parked in front of the shed door due to the lock being damaged. Occurred between Wed 11/02/2015 17:00 and Tue 17/02/2015 12:00 from a stable yard along FARLEY LA, ROMSLEY,. BASIC OFFENCE OUTLINE: Between 1700hrs Weds 11th Feb & 0800hrs Thurs 12th Feb and 1700hrs Mon 16th Feb & 1200hrs Tues 17th Feb someone has entered the stable yard by climbing over a locked metal 5 bar gate. They have removed 2 dustbins of horse feed located in an insecure wooden garden shed. Stables and a caravan in Beamish Lane, Albrighton, were broken into between 5.30pm Fri/11.45am Sat 20-21 Feb. Three saddles and five bridles were among items stolen. (OIS ref: 0256s 210215)

A chainsaw, brushcutter, pressure washer and riding boots were stolen when premises at hunt stables in Eardington, Bridgnorth, were broken into at sometime on Monday 23 Feb. (OIS ref 0403s 240215)

Vehicle Crime

Overnight between Wed/Thurs 25-26 Feb, a van in Village Road, Norton, was broken into and powered gardening tools among items stolen. (OIS 0111s 260215)

27 February 2015 - NW MESSAGE - SHREWSBURY RURAL AREA

NHW Message for Shrewsbury Rural Area.

It has been brought to the attention of West Mercia Police that sheep have been killed in the Shrewsbury Rural Area. It is suspected that the culprits are dogs. The Public are reminded that it is their responsibility to control their dogs at all times. If a dog is found off the lead worrying sheep, the farmer by law is entitled to take further action.

It is further noted by the Police that yellow tape has appeared in the hedgerows. NHW/Rural Watch Members are requested to be extra vigilant to this and report any sightings of persons placing the yellow tape in the hedgerows.

27 February 2015 - NW MESSAGE - WEM

Wem area - between 03:30:00 on THURSDAY 26-FEB-2015 and 03:55:00 on THURSDAY 26-FEB-2015 at a farm / business premise on ELLESMERE RD
, WEM the occupier looked out of their bedroom window when security lights were activated in the courtyard and then saw two men in balaclavas walk in to view. When the occupier shouted at the men they fled the area. Two outbuildings had been broken into although nothing is believed to have been stolen. Wem Area - between Mon 23/02/2015 23:00 and Tue 24/02/2015 07:00 a garage was entered at an address on LOWE HILL RD, WEM and a white Giant Dash pedal cycle stolen. BURGLARY OTHER THAN DWELLING - THEFT took place between 18:00:00 on FRIDAY 27-FEB-2015 and 09:50:00 on SATURDAY 28-FEB-2015 at WOODCOTE LA, DODFORD, BROMSGROVE.

Collection of 3 outbuildings in a rural location. They are used for storing cattle, horses and necessary equipment. Between time stated person/s unknown have forced entry through the main stable door into the equipment store causing damage to the stable door. A search has been made within the stable where 2 saddles and bridles have been stolen and an electric fence unit.

Trailer and tractor located in Donnington area of Telford.
Reported to police on 10.04.15 at 16.30hrs.
Trailer and tractor found on landowners property. Trailer is an Ifor Williams Double Axle, serial number on trailer chassis EC27559.
Tractor is a Kubuta B7100, 4 wheel drive, orange in colour.
Items believed to be stolen and have been recovered by police - incident number 445-S-100415 refers.

Suspicious activity reported 13.30hrs 10.04.15 in Green Lane area of Wythall.
Informant reporting electric fencing damaged to field where horses are kept - pulled down and cut into pieces. Horses not in the field at the time. Chairs also stolen from outside the stable yard. Incident number 292-S-100415 refers

STOLEN KAWASAKI QUAD BIKE
Location - Bucknell, Shropshire

Between the 2nd and 3rd of May, persons unknown have attended a farm situated in the Bucknell area and have gained access into an outbuilding on the farm yard. Once inside the outbuilding offenders have stolen a green coloured Kawasaki quad bike. Registration: DX54 VBE, three Husqvarna chainsaws and a welding mask.

Between 9.45pm/11.25pm Mon 27 April, a suspected attempt was made to break into a house in Sundorne Avenue, and a wallet was stolen from a van nearby. Bank cards were taken and an attempt made to make a fraudulent transaction at an ATM in Harlescott.

Overnight between Sun/Mon 26-27 April, premises at a roadside café on A49 near Leebotwood was broken into and quantities of batteries were taken. (OIS ref 0160s 270415).

Between 14-24 April, a stable block at premises off Lyth Hill Road, Bayston Hill, was broken into. Two saddles and four bridles were among items stolen. (OIS ref 0230s 240415).

Theft of Heating Oil

The theft of a quantity of heating oil from a large tank at premises near the village hall in Leighton was discovered and reported to police on Mon 27 April. (OIS ref 0463s 270415).

Theft of Phone From Garden

On Sat 25 April, a mobile phone left accidentally in a garden in Baschurch Road, Bomere Heath, was taken, possibly by an opportunist cold caller at the house. The phone case was later found near the church. (OIS 0548s 270415)

Note: this sort of offence has become widespread. As the warmer weather arrives, valuable items like phones, radios, iPads etc, are often left briefly on patios and in gardens. Ensure that items left in gardens are secure and be alert for unexpected callers and opportunist passers-by.

BURGLARY OTHER THAN DWELLING - THEFT occurred between Thu 07/05/2015 18:00 and Fri 08/05/2015 09:00.

THE STABLES, HARBOURS HILL, BELBROUGHTON, STOURBRIDGE, WEST MIDLANDS DY9 9XE

BASIC OFFENCE OUTLINE: During times stated, offender(s) unknown have approached IP's secure metal barn which is located on farm site near to main dwelling. Access to this can be gained via driveway or coming across the fields from Harbours Hill. On this occasion, it is believed that offender(s) have approached the barn from the fields as some gates to the fields were left open when meant to be shut. They have by means unknown pulled back a metal panel within the barn structure to allow them to gain entry inside. They have then by means unknown forced off padlocks to 3 storage units that were fixed to 3 lorries within. They have then stolen up to 15 chainsaws from within these units. The barn was protected by alarm but for reasons unknown, this did not sound off. A pair of ladders were left near to the scene.

For SHROPSHIRE (GENERAL)

An Alert For Drivers on Shropshire’s Country Roads.

As well as the usual hazards caused by other road users and various obstructions on local roads, drivers are reminded to be alert for livestock wandering on the highways.

In the last seven days a number of highway incidents involving animals have been reported to local police across Shropshire.

Road traffic accidents involving deer occurred at Astley on A53, near the Dog in the Lane, around 1.30pm on Wed 7 May, and on the Bridnorth to Craven Arms road near Monkhampton at mid day on Tues 22 May.

Sheep and lambs tend to break out of fields at this time of year and have been reported roaming loose on the Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton, near the bottling plant (Fri 8 May), on the A488 between Hanwood and Pontesbury (2.45pm Sat 9 May) and on the A5 near the Travel Lodge at Oswestry.

Cattle were reported on A4117 near Clee Hill village at midday on Sun 10 May, and the A488 between Clun and Acton at 9pm on Tues 12 May.

Riderless horses caused concern in Pulley Lane, Bayston Hill on Sat 9 May and an injured badger delayed drivers on the B5026 Bearstone Road, Market Drayton, at 9.30am on Sun 10 May.
