Horses and Ponies

Lot 1. ‘SHAWNEE (GEM)’ 11 years old, 15.1hh Coloured Mare. Registered Coloured Mare, well-marked, quiet to do, will live and work on her own. Good to catch, shoe, load and in traffic. Up to date flu jabs. Excellent jumper. Snaffle mouthed, nice paces. No vices, good all-rounder.

Lot 2. ‘TANSY’ 3 years old, 14hh Piebald Filly. Registered and passported part bred Welsh. Grandsire HOYS and Olympia winner ‘Cassius’. Good to clip, trim, plait, bath, load, farrier, catch etc.

Lot 3. ‘BEAUTY’ 5 years old, 13.2h Black Mare. Ideal Summer project, ready to break, totally sound, no stable vices. Has done lunging. Lovely natured.

Lot 4. ‘INDIANA’ 13 years old, 15.1hh Grey Gelding. Rides out beautifully. Has participated in endurance fun rides. Sold totally sound but needs sun cream put on every day. No windsucking, crib biting weaving. Loves attention. Good to catch and with farrier. Unfortunately no time. Has a lovely jump.

Lot 5. ‘AMBER SUN OMEGA’ 12 years old, 14.2hh Chestnut Gelding. Pure blood registered Arabian. Has participated in a lot of fun rides. Good in traffic, no stable vices. Very sweet natured and easy to handle. Needs sun cream on his nose when hot. Lovely floaty paces, nice fun ride. Only had two homes. Only for sale due to owner’s poor health and lack of grazing.

Lot 6. ‘PRINCE’ 6 years old, 14hh Chestnut Gelding. Excellent temperament - comes to call, good to shoe, box and clip. 100% traffic proof. Hacks out alone and in company. Has completed 3 XC clear each time and first SJ came 4th no faults, although he has never been schooled over jumps; this part of his education has not been fulfilled as yet, due to a lack of time.

Lot 7. ‘MIDNIGHT’ 14 years old, 14.2hh, Piebald Mare from Honeypot Stud. She was a broodmare then brought back into work. Hacks out, jumps nicely. Good to handle, up to date with teeth, back, jabs and wormed. Lives out 24 hours, good doer. Registered with Irish Piebald Skewbald Association. Overstocked so has to go.

Lot 8. 13.3hh Traditional Gypsy Cob Gelding. Very, very smart. Success in the show ring both at Under Saddle and In Hand. Has been driven in the past.

Lot 9. 12.2hh Ride and Drive, 5 years old. Regularly pulling carts etc. Very nice

Lot 10. 4 years old, 13.2hh Coloured Skewbald Cob Gelding. Lightly backed and has worn harness.

Lot 11. ‘BIRTLEY LADY GREY’ 17 years old, 12.2hh Bay Roan Mare. Broodmare, Registered Section B. Been shown successfully as a youngster at County level. All her stock have been prize winning, she is an exceptional broodmare with fab breeding. She was previously professionally backed some years ago. I have sat on her last week, done basic walk and trot in field, green but very honest.

Lot 12. Her Foal ‘STRAWBERRYFELDS TWILIGHT SPARKLE’ Born March 2015. He is eligible to be registered Part Bred Welsh and is expected to make 14hh. He will make a cracking event type or show hunter as he is very bold and has good conformation and beautiful paces. Only for sale as we breed dinky ponies.

Lot 13. 7 years old, 11.3hh Section a Mare. Has been shown in hand and has had lead rein jockey on and also ridden by an adult at walk and trot only. Ready to carry on now.

Lot 14. Riding pony Colt to make 12.2hh, ‘Oakley’ breeding. He is sold with numerous entries into shows for the year. Qualified for South Wes ponies and MPS, 2nd at Devon County. Easy to do, nice temperament.

Lot 18. ‘DOLLY’ 3 coming on 4 years old, 14.2hh Cob, Black with four white socks and a white face. Ready to be broken, would make a suitable ride or drive horse.

Lot 19. ‘BLUE BOY’ 2 years old, Blue and White, Stallion Colt Cob. Very good home bred colt. Only for sale as we have his offspring and we can’t use him on the mares for stud. Halter broken. Very quiet to handle.

Lot 20. ‘DAZZLE’ 4 years old, 14.3hh Chestnut Mare

Lot 21. ‘COURTS MOLLY MARANGO’ 10 years old, 13.2hh Coloured Mare. Homebred Coloured Mare by ‘Appledore Marango’. Competed at SJ and dressage. Good to shoe, box, clip, catch in stable and in traffic. Very scopey jump, lovely temperament, snaffle mouth. Only for sale as no rider and wasted.

Lot 22. ‘MISS COURTS LAST MARENGO’ 9 years old, 14hh Coloured Mare. Stunning Hombred Mare by ‘Appledore Marengo’. She has been broken and turned away due to no rider. 3 smart paces. Scopey jump, would excel in any sphere. Good to box, shoe, catch, in stable and traffic. Kind natured, learns quickly. Waiting to have fun and win with a junior. Sad sale.

Lot 23. ‘DEVONHAYES KYANITE’ 3 years old, 12.2hh Roan Gelding. Registered Welsh, Section B. A very smart little chap who has run out since a yearling and needs taking out to shows and breaking. Will make a cracking kids pony.

Lot 24. ‘PORCHA’ 5 years old, 15hh approx. Skewbald Mare. ISH x QH. Present ownership for 2 years. Broken and hunted in Ireland. Believed part bred Quarter Horse. Hacked, done pleasure rides, turned out to mature. Hunted with Dart Vale. Started schooling, good straight paces, showing great potential over coloured fences. Genuine young horse. Sound and vice free.

Lot 25. ‘CLOVER BAY’ 6 years old, 16.2hh approx. Bay Mare. Registered ISH with exceptional bloodlines. Placed at Dublin show last year. Hunted last season with Kildare in Ireland, hunted with Dartvale / Axe Vale. Bold jump XC and coloured fences. Jumps everything asked of her. Turned out end of April, now ready to get fit for the coming hunt season. Fab Mare to ride. Sound / vice free.

Lot 26. ‘DANCER’ 6 years old, approx. 16hh Bay Gelding. Registered ISH with good bloodlines. Super hunter, sensible ride. Works well in school. Jumps whatever is asked of him. Nice RC/PC type. Excellent in traffic. Sound / vice free.

Lot 27. ‘LIBERTY’ 7 years old, approx. 14.2hh Bay Mare. Last season’s hunter hireling. Turned out end of April, ready to come in, shoe up and ride on for the coming hunt season. No longer needed as cutting down this year’s hunters. Sound / vice free.

Lot 28. ‘CLOVERLEAF’ 6 years old, approx. 14.2hh Skewbald Mare. Ride and drive. Used for pleasure driving, ridden regularly over Dartmoor hacking. Excellent in traffic. Sound / vice free.

Lot 29. ‘BEN’ 7 years old, approx. 16.1hh Chestnut Gelding. ID x TB. Well used hunter, hunted with Kildare in Ireland and hunted with Dart Vale / Axe Vale. Jumps whatever was asked of him. Sensible ride. Works nicely in school, has a good scopey jump as shown. Sound / vice free.

Lot 30. ‘PADDY’ 5 years old, 13.3/14hh Piebald Gelding. 100% in traffic, shoe, box, catch etc. Currently being used for general hacking and has been on a couple of fun rides. He would make a nice driving prospect.

Lot 31. ‘CHRIS’ 5 years old, 12.3hh Piebald Gelding. Good in traffic, shoe, box, catch etc. Currently being ridden by an 11 year old. Lots of feather and would make a nice driving prospect.

Lot 32. ‘JESSICA’ 12.2hh approx. Chestnut and White Mare. 100% in traffic, shoe, box, catch. Lovely child’s pony on or off lead rein. No vices, loves attention of the children. Has been on a couple of fun rides.

Lot 33. ‘MIZZIE’ 13 years old, 14.2hh Piebald Mare. Very smart attractive true Gypsy Cob. Bought in December as part of the Florence Martin dispersal sale heavy in foal. Has bred super foal who we have kept. She was sol as ride and drive when we bought her, she is now ready to come back into work. She is quiet to catch and load and is sound.

Lot 34. ‘JUNE’ 5 years old, 11.2hh. Lovely pony, very easy to do. Has done little bit of lead rein. Now ready to go and do a bit more. Easy to catch and load.

Lot 35. ‘CHARLIE’ 8 years old, 15.1hh Section D x Black Gelding. Has been XC schooling this season, show jumping unaffiliated. Charlie works in a soft outline, has been ridden on the beach, hacked across the Mendips jumping walls and rails. Has also been on a fun ride this year. Good to load, catch and in stable. True gentleman to handle. Has very low mileage so does need to further his education. Has been seen to wind suck but is controlled by a collar. Wormed up to date. Sold as seen.

Lot 36. ‘DANNY’ 1 year old, 14.2hh Piebald Colt. This yearling is a treat to have around, always willing to please, very well mannered, good in stable, used to the shower loves attention, used to dogs. Will live on his own or with company. He is ready to show and see life. He has been wormed.

Lot 37. ‘JTF BERTHA’ 5 years old, 15.3hh Piebald Mare. This Mare is a full up to type traditional Piebald Mare. She is well handled in the stable, used to the shower and loves attention. She is good to load and well mannered. Will stay on her own or with company. Now ready to be broken in.

Lot 38. 4 years old, 14hh Palomino reg Morgan pony. Stocky sort, bombproof, 100% in traffic, broken to ride, hacks alone or in company, goes in front or behind. Never bucked, reared or bolted. Vice free. No bumps or lumps, friendly confident pony. Would make a good second pony, can carry 10 and a half stone. Sire won Royal Cornwall numerous times.

Lot 39. 4 years old, 11.2hh Roan Mare from the Weston Stud. Beautifully bred, a HOYS prospect. Was lightly backed last year and turned away to mature.

Lot 40. 17 years old, 12.2hh Palomino Gelding. Perfect lead rein pony and a great second pony. Not first ridden but has been a great family pony, now outgrown.

Lot 41. 10 years old, 16.2hh Bay Gelding. Schoolmaster having completed BE 80s and 90s successfully. He is very well schooled with a great XC jump.

Lot 1. ‘BIRTLEY LADY GREY’ 17 years old, 12.2hh Bay Roan Mare. Broodmare, Registered Section B. Been shown successfully as a youngster at County level. All her stock have been prize winning, she is an exceptional broodmare with fab breeding. She was previously professionally backed some years ago. I have sat on her last week, done basic walk and trot in field, green but very honest.

Excellent broodmare, has previously bred two lovely foals. She is broken to ride, but low mileage used mainly for hacking. Recently been brought back into work. Friendly girl, good to catch, farrier (barefoot never been shod), load, lives in or out, had her teeth done last year. Selling through no fault of her own, due to lack of time and no longer breeding.

Lot 4. ‘PENYLASGARN FRIESA’ 5 years old, 12.2hh Bay Mare. Registered Section C Mare. Unspoilt. Unbroken but veryb well handled. Now ready to back and produce. Full WPCS Passport.

Lot 5. ‘SELAW SILHOUETTE’ 8 years old, 9hh Dark Bay Mare. Cilla is a lovely stamp of Shetland. She is well handled. Has been shown in-hand and has many rosettes to date. Also been a good broodmare. Left empty this year to start as a riding pony but no longer needed.

Lot 6. ‘HONEY’ 7 years old, 9hh Chestnut Mare. Honey is a lovely Shetland. Although unregistered, she is true of type and would make a nice child’s riding pony.

Seven 2 years old Dutch Warm Blood X Horses to include 5 Mares, A Spotted 2 year old (halter broken), a Black & White Dutch Warm Blood X Stallion (OK for breeding) and 2 Miniature Shetlands

Lot 17. ‘FLASH’ 15 years old 12hh approx. Black Gelding. He is a stunning Reg Welsh Section A lead rein pony. Brilliant to lead from horse with 3 year old child on. Excellent in woods, tracks and open fields. He has also been good for lead rein jumping with 3 year old on. Fine with all fillers, planks etc. A very sweet pony, lovely temperament, likes to get to know you and trust you. Good to box, feet trim, bath etc. Has always been led by
another horse or person so not being sold as a first ridden. Has also competed successfully in hand showing. Never had laminitis or sweet-itch.

Lot 18. ‘KATHERINE’ 8 years old, 14.2hh approx. Piebald Gypsy Cob Mare. Been handled well good to load. Loves attention. Micro-chipped. Reason for sale is cutting back on breeding. Will stay on her own but likes company as well.

Lot 19. ‘MAISEY’ 11 years old, 15hh Piebald Mare. I bought this Mare at Exeter in September 2014. Proper old fashioned Piebald Gypsy Cob Mare. Was broken to ride as a 3 year old for 3 years then used as a Broodmare; she has produced champions. She was thought to be in foal but wasn’t so had easy year out. True to type, good on own, in stable, load, with company. Could easily be brought back into work.

Lot 20. ‘MELODY MAKER’ 11 years old, 16.2hh Bay Mare

Lot 21. ‘SOPHIA’ 7 years old, 15hh Bay Mare

Lot 22. ‘JESSIE’ 5 years old, 13.2hh, Black and White Mare

Lot 23. 9 years old, 13.2hh Connie Cross Welsh B. Rides out alone, good in traffic, stable etc. Working well barefoot, easy to catch, good with dogs and respects electric fencing. For sale as giving up due to change at work.

Lot 24. 5 years old, Spotted Gelding. Broken last year and ridden all summer. Has been turned away since Christmas now ready to come back into work. Does have mild sweet-itch which is controlled with a rug. Sound and viceless.

Lot 25. ‘DOLLY MIXTURE’ 7 years old, stunning Paint Skewbald Cob Mare. Very smart, good looking Mare, previously worked in a riding school and done some dressage. Has bred a stunning foal, now ready to come back into work.

Lot 26. 15.1hh approx. Piebald Gelding, 6yrs old. 100% in traffic, no vices, a nice happy hacker.

Horses and Ponies

Lot 1. ‘GEORGE’ 8 year old, 15.1hh TB Bay Gelding. Dam Mix and Match by Northern Game, Sire Royal Georgetown. Broken in Spring 2014, hacked and lightly schooled on. Good to catch, load, shoe. Teeth and back check-up done in February 2015. Owned and ridden by teenager who sadly has lack of time due to a level commitment.

Lot 2. ‘BRITESIDE OF LIFE’ 5 year old, 16.2hh Dark Bay Male. Halter broken, good to catch, untouched ready to break, make super hunter/endurance, genuinely just a kind hearted horse, only for sale as have too much stock. Mother and father are complete American bred Standardbreds.

Lot 3. ‘GEORGE’ 7 year old, 16.2hh Bay Gelding. Broken and ridden away. Lovely kind horse with no vices. Potential hunter/riding horse. Sold as seen.

Lot 4. ‘PADDY’ 16.1hh Bay Gelding

Lot 5. ‘ARABELLA’ 13 year old, 14.2hh Skewbald Mare. Arabella is a very forwards going pony she is not a novice ride only ideal for hacking around roads she is excellent in all traffic and road works but when in fields or open spaces gets very excited and rears and bucks. She comes with full tack (saddle was fitted to her about a month ago) bridle lots of rugs fleeces, tendon boots etc. She had her teeth and back done last month and is up to date with her jabs.

Lot 6. ‘HONEY’ 9 years old, 15hh approx. Chestnut Mare. TB Mare Hamari – Miss Illustrous (Gunner B) Homebred. Has hunted with Exmoor Foxhounds. Very little work in last year due to lack of time and owner seriously overstocked. Cribites.

Lot 17. ‘COLWILLS TINY TYSON (THUNDER)’ 6 year old, 12.2hh Grey Gelding. Registered Connemara X. Thunder was broken Summer 2014 and has been ridden lightly by an 8 year old girl so is still quite green but willing to learn. Has been ridden up on the moor with no problems, he is quiet with traffic, has not needed shoes. Can be a bit nervous in a strange place but just needs reassurance. Been lunged over coloured jumps, has good paces and moves nicely. This pony has a lot of potential to be a good all round pony with a little more work and experience.

Lot 18. ‘SWEETCOMBE SUNBOUY’ 3 year old Dun Exmoor Gelding to make approx. 12.2hh. Pure bred Exmoor Gelding 215/53-X. Has been well handled. Halter broken. Has a section X passport because he has some white hairs in his mane and tail.

Lot 19. ‘SWEETCOMBE FOLLY’ 5 year old, 14hh approx. Bay Filly. Folly is a well-bred nice quality W/H type pony, but is unbroken due to no fault of her own. She has been well handled, but due to owners age and injury has never been ridden. She has both Wiscombe Challenger and Losrock Huntsman in her bloodline. Looking for a good home.

Lot 20. ‘BERTIE’ 11 year old, 148cm Bay Gelding. Handsome Bay Gelding, lovely to handle but not a novice ride. Has hunted, placed HT would make fabulous endurance horse. Prefers to be in company good at join up. Good in traffic, box, clip and shoe. Never sick or sorry, lives in and out.

Lot 21. ‘TIGGS’ 6 year old, approx. 16.1hh Skewbald Gelding. Well used hunter, has a good jump XC and coloured fences. Excellent in traffic. Turned out April end of hunt season. Now back in work and ready for new season. Sound/vice free.

Lot 22. ‘CLOVER BAY’ 6 year old, 17hh approx. Bay Mare. Cracking stamp well-bred with Clover Hill bloodlines. Well hunted, shown working hunter SJ and XC has a good bold jump. Good flatwork balanced straight paces. Super horse, excellent in traffic. Sound/vice free.

Lot 23. ‘APACHE NATION’ 7 year old, 16hh approx. Skewbald Gelding. Well-bred with good bloodlines for competing hunted good jump XC. Excellent in traffic. Turned out end of last season now in work ready for new hunt season. Sound vice free.

Lot 24. ‘MIKZY’ 7 year old, 15.2hh Dark Bay Gelding. Connemara X ID. Well used hunter nice forward ride. Good jump XC and coloured fences. Lovely jolly hack excellent in traffic. Sound/vice free.

Lot 25. ‘CONKER’ 9 year old, 15.2hh Bay Gelding. Out of work due to no time. Has been Bicton show jumping. Will excel in dressage and jumping. Perfect manners in stable but does box walk. Loves swimming, hacks out in company, used to lorries, tractors, cars and motorbikes. Doesn’t kick or bite. Needs bringing into work. Barefoot never had shoes on. Snaffle mouth.

Lot 26. 7 year old, 15.2hh Piebald Mare registered Welsh part bred. This nice big upstanding good bodied mare was broken as a 4 year old and turned away to mature. Brought back into work the beginning of this summer and is going very nicely. Good in traffic, box, farrier etc. She is now ready to go on and fulfil her real potential.

Lot 27. 6 months old Grey Registered Connemara colt foal. Halter broken easy to handle, would be a nice project an investment for someone for the future, well bred.

Lot 28. ‘RUSTY’ 5 year old Roan Gelding 12.3/13hh approx. Good to catch, shoe, box, clip, stable, wash etc. Good in traffic, lovely child's pony. Nice unusual colour.

Lot 29. ‘BERT’ 6 year old Black/Dark Bay Gelding. Bert has been ground trained and then backed. He handles well and good to box etc. However he will need an experienced trainer/rider.

Lot 30. ‘MAISEY’ 1 year old Chestnut. Maisey is a Quarter Horse X Welsh Cob Yearling to make approx. 14.2hh. Lovely face and nice straight movement with high hock action. Will make fantastic riding pony and excel in any sphere. Up to date with jabs and worming.

Lot 31. ‘CRAFTY REVENGE’ 6 year old, 14.2hh Skewbald Mare. Forward going mare. Regularly hunted with the Spooners, excellent crossing the moor. Excellent crossing the moor. She had done XC and SJ has been on lots of fun rides. Well-mannered when out and about. Turned away most of the summer, ready to start work now. New job forces sad sale.

Lot 32. 7 year old Grey Gelding 14hh stunning Registered Arab x Connemara very smart pony 63% Arab. Stunning looking with outstanding movement well-schooled, good in traffic, box. Light snaffle mouth. Sound and viceless.

Lot 33. 2 year old Grey Gelding 14.1hh approx. Well-bred very smart working hunter type well-handled and quiet to do in all ways. Has been shown successfully in hand.

Lot 34. ‘Gornoeth Fantastic Mr Fox’ by Penycrug Terwyn. 5 year old, 14.2hh, Gelding Registered Welsh Section D. Very well bred, flashy smart co with great movement shown in hand with great success. Now ready to break and produce under saddle sound and no stable vices.

LOT 72 = Trixie – 2 year old Bay 15.1hh Filly.
Halter broken, feet trimmed, worn rug last winter, introduced to saddle & bridle, seen farm traffic, loaded, tied up, good to handle, used to dogs. Nice filly to go on for riding, riding club etc. Only sold due to loss off grazing.

LOT 73 = Welsh Section B Bay 3 year old Filly.
Halter broken and wormed regularly.

Lot 2. ‘WAYCROFT CHORUS GIRL (CORA)’ 10 year old Bay Mare approx. 1510cm. Sold without warranty

Lot 3. ‘PENYLASGARD DYLAN’ 10yr old (Registered Welsh Section A) approx. 11.2hh, Previously used as a lead rein pony but become too cheeky for my 5 year old. Excellent on the ground, great to lunge, great to travel, with farrier etc. No Sweet itch or Laminitis. Never sick or sorry. A real good Doer. Unridden for the last year so needs bringing back into work.

Lot 4. ‘CRUMPWELL HALSYON’ Reg Section A by ‘Springbourne Caerwyn.’ 2 years old beautifully bred stunning filly, with outstanding confirmation will be top class show prospect and will make top show pony under saddle in the future. Sound and vice-less.

Lot 5. ‘MISSY’ 4 years old, very smart traditional black and white mare. Has been broken to ride and drive, believed to be in foal to very heavy traditional cob stallion. Sound and vice-less.

Lot 6. 13 years old, 17hh Dark Bay I.S.H Geld. Superb willing temperament. He jumps, has done a lot of unaffiliated successfully. Hunts and is a fabulous hack. Has been in the same home since 3yr old.so this is a heart-breaking sale.

Lot 7. 10 years old, 16.1hh Dark Bay Gelding. Lovely hack. Hunter and done sponsored rides. Snaffle mouth.

Lot 8. ‘Teoh The Great’ 6 year old Welsh part bred Palomino Gelding approx. 16.1hh. Sound horse with lovely paces. Stunning dark dappled coat in summer. Very smooth comfortable ride but has just had six months off. Re-backed 8 weeks ago, was riding out well in woodland. Does not rear or buck but can be nappy about things that scare him, and needs a strong drive to pass new things. Needs to be girthed sensitively (with treats) and probably needs re-starting on lunge before ridden work commences. An affectionate horse which will thrive in the right hands.

Lot 9. 6 year old Quarter Horse X American Paint solid bay mare approx. 15.2hh. A beautiful home bred mare, very friendly, used to all farm machinery and dogs. Has not been messed about with, ready now to break (start). Only sold as over stocked.

Lot 10. 7 year old bay mare Thoroughbred X Irish Draught approx. 15.2hh. Companion or broodmare easy to do in every way. Make good all-rounder in the right hands. Backed and ridden for 3 months. Can be cold backed at times. No malice. Good when boxed, shoed, clipped, with traffic, other horses, open spaces.

Lot 11. ‘DAISY’ Skewbald filly yearling approx. 14hh. Daisy is halter broken and leading well. She has been bathed and groomed and had a rug and leg wraps on. She was wormed on the 19/10/2015 and is passported and microchipped. She also has been turned out on her own and is easy to catch.

Lot 12. ‘RUNNAGE’ Skewbald filly foal to make approx. 12.2hh. Runnage is a Dartmoor hill pony, she is halter broken leading well. She is well handled, groomed, bathed and rugged. Eating hard food. Wormed on the 8th October 2015. Passported and microchipped.

Lot 13. ‘ROWDOWN SOUTHERN SKY’ Bay colt foal to make approx. 14.2hh. He is a registered pure New Forrest Pony. Been well groomed bathed and rugged halter broken and turned out with company. Wormed on the 28th September 2015. Microchipped and passport with the New Forrest Pony Breeding Society.

Lot 16. ‘CUBAN NIGHT´ 11 year old bay thoroughbred gelding approx. 16.2hh. A lovely, cheeky boy to have around the yard, who loves his cuddles and fuss! He is good to catch, shoe, clip and loads well in a trailer. He has no vices. He has had a successful operation for kissing spines back in March (Interspinous ligament desmotomy procedure). This does not affect his work/performance. He was brought back into work slowly and correctly and is schooling well with 3 smart, correct paces. He attended his first dressage completion, since the op on the 27th September 2015 and behaved impeccably and came home with a second place and score of 65.22%. He has show jumped with a previous owner (not my forte!). He is sound. He had new shoes 2 weeks ago, back and physio checked 2 weeks ago, teeth done in September, fully vaccinated and has been wormed.

Lot 7. ‘Cnwch Symphony’ 6 year old approx. 14.2hh Bay Gelding registered section D. Very smart son of Geler Sparc. Quiet, kind, honest straight forward chap. He has hunted and completed all pony club activities. He has a careful bold jump and has a great future warranted sound and viceless.

Lot 8. ‘Roman’ 8 year old Bay Gelding approx. 14.2hh. Very smart all-rounder with great attitude. Good in traffic, box and shoe. Sound and viceless.

Lot 9. ‘Foxhills Freedom’ 7 year old Chestnut Gelding approx. 14.2hh. Registered New Forest by Brookshill Mustang, very well bred, was broken and produced at 3-4 years been in the first since as no rider now ready to come back into work. Sound and viceless.

Lot 10. ‘Treveglos Royal Standard’ approx. 4 years old Irish Draught x Thoroughbred Chestnut gelding approx. 16hh. Very smart young competition hunter prospect, unbroken but well handled. Sound and no stable vices.

Lot 11. 8 year old Dapple Grey Mare approx. 16hh. Good to box, catch and shoe. Also good in traffic. Anybody’s ride, doesn’t warm up. Rides out first or last in company or on its own. Just started schooling in ménage and going super. Pops a jump with ease.

Lot 12. 6 year old Black and White Gelding approx. 14.1hh. Quiet to ride, show, box and clip etc. Anybody’s ride, hacks out alone or in company first or last. A nice happy hacker.

Lot 13. Spotted foal halter broken to make approx. 13hh

Lot 14. 9 year old Black Mare approx. 12.2-13hh. Ride and drive 100%, hacks out alone or in company first or last. She has been used on an off the lead rein, has taught children how to ride, highly recommended, video clip can be shown on day of sale for her driving.

Lot 15. ‘Brynithon Silver Locket’ 5 year old Dun Mare approx. 14hh. Locket is a sweet natured kind mare that is currently wasted as the vendors are overstocked and have no time or rider with which to do her justice. Bred in the purple the mare is by Penlangrug Diplomat 86332 by Thorneyside the Terminator 45541 out of Brynithon Poppet by Thorneyside the Govenor 39505. The very best of Welsh blood runs through this mare with Brynmor welsh Magic, Ebbw Victor, Nebo Black Magic, Parvadean, Synod, Cathedine and Menai all within her lineage. Regretfully this mare is a half-sister to Nithsdale Stud’s Penlangrug Desert Storm and is therefore too closely related to be retained for breeding purposes. Locket has wonderful extended action and in the right hands would make an excellent driving prospect suited as she is to either Light Trade or Private Drive. She is also a promising ridden project and should make an ideal all round family animal. Sold without warranty.

Lot 16. ‘Langller White Lining’ 11 year old Grey Gelding approx. 16.2hh. Good to shoe box and clip. Not a novice ride. Sold as seen.

Lot 17. ‘Sunnyside Cloudy’ 18 months old Blue/White Colt to make approx. 16.1hh

Lot 18. ‘Tremymor Melody (Molly)’ 10 year old Liver Chestnut Female approx. 13hh. Registered Welsh Section C. Riding pony. Low mileage for age. Lives out, barefoot, good with farrier.

Lot 19. ‘Taraco Kimba (Tariq)’ 8 year old Piebald Gelding approx. 148cms. Stunning 148cm native coloured by the elite graded Comanchee Ace, passported chaps and overstamped bspa, partbred welsh so eligible for part bred classes. A real contender for HOYS/Royal international classes still eligible for novice ridden, won all his in-hand classes at his first show, 3 active uphill paces, bold jumper over coloured and cross country fences. Not a novice ride as can be quite strong in a snaffle was only cut and broken at the beginning of last year (2014). Can be left for weeks without riding and get straight on no lunging necessary. Sad sale but no longer doing coloureds and stud reduction, too good to be stuck in a field. Sold without warranty.

Lot 20. ‘Billy’ 2 year old Piebald Gelding approx. 12.2hh. Billy has a lovely nature, halter broken, bathed and rugged. He was wormed on the 26.11.15. He microchipped and passported. Sold with warranty.

Lot 21. ‘Monksmead Monarch’ 6 month old Bay Colt Foal approx. 11hh. Monksmead Monarch is a pure new forest (forest bred) pony. He is halter broken and has had a rug on. He was 3rd when shown in hand at the forest sale foal show. Wormed 14.11.15. Micro Chipped and Passported. Sold with warranty.

Lot 22. ‘Peppercorn’ 6 month old Skewbald Colt approx. 11hh. Peppercorn is a New Forest bred part bred (forest bred pony). He is a lovely natured foal. He is halter broken, good to catch. Goes out into field on his own, or with company. Has been bathed, and has had a rug on. Wormed 25.10.15. Microchipped and Passported.

Lot 23. ‘Toffee’ 7 month old Dun Filly Foal to make approx. 15.2hh. American quarter horse X French riding horse. Born end of May 2015. A very sweet & intelligent filly with good strong confirmation & movement. Has just started her education at being groomed picking up feet & starting to be led & is responding sensibly to everything asked a real level headed youngster that will do really well in any sphere as that useful type. heart-breaking sale as lost grazing.

Lot 24. ‘Fudge’ 6 month old Dun Filly to make approx. 14.2hh American quarter horse x Connemara. Born beginning of June 2015. A real looker with good square conformation & elegant movement has just started her education at being groomed picking up feet & starting to be led is responding well but slightly sharper but calming down well, going to be a real wow looking pony when older potential to do any discipline well, heart-breaking sale due to loss of grazing.

Kivells - Sale Report

A wonderful entry of horses saw plenty of interest however no real stars to attract the ‘big money.’ Overall top call of the day was £900 for a 13 year old Bay Gelding on behalf of Messrs Rogers of Yealmpton. Not far back was the trio from Messrs Price of Pontypridd, Wales which hit £810 and another from the same good home at £680. North Tawton based David Stephens sold his 8 year old Bay Gelding at £650 whilst Mrs Dowle’s 5 year old Dunn ‘Silver Locket’ lit up the sale ring and sold for £600 going to its new home in Mid Wales. The pick of the miniatures sold to £190 on behalf of Wayland Farm, Liskeard
